to think DP shouldn't do this

In the cinema DP always wants to sit in premier seats! It really bugs me as I'm below average height and find them really uncomfortable. Plus I think they're a rip-off.

Went last night; DP declared he was 'far too close to the screen' and just went to sit in premier seats which admittedly were free - I guess other people think the same as me! But it meant I was sat alone for the film.

Aibu to think it's a bit entitled and ignorant?

Sorry crossed post with a couple.
Buy your own popcorn, sit where you want, chat about the film afterwards.
Problem solved and you are taking control back.

Sit further back. Use a booster seat? Grin

Seriously, if he's being awkward, why would you want to sit with him anyway?

browneyedgirl86 · 22/10/2014 14:32

Mt ex did this. He also chose where to sit in restaurants I.e if I sit down and he wanted my seat for whatever reason he would make me move!

Yanbu. He is absolutely being unreasonable to leave you in the cinema and just change seats!

It is not entitled or ignorant to prefer a different type of cinema seating to your spouse.

If it is, then you are equally ignorant and entitled. Probably even more so. Why do you think that you have more right to be comfortable and able to fully enjoy a film than your husband?

"This has little to do with cinema seats and much to do with control. Take heed OP"

  • this.

My DH prefers premier but that's because he's very tall and in our nearest cinema it makes a huge difference to his ability to sit in comfort. He wouldn't act like your DH, though!

Had no idea there is such a thing as premier seats. Your partner sounds like a nobber.
