PetulaGordino · 03/10/2014 19:39

on a laptop/desktop it's print screen (prnt scrn)

treaclesoda · 03/10/2014 19:40

on a Samsung phone it's the button at the bottom and the power button at the same time

CakeUpWall · 03/10/2014 19:40

On my ipad & iPhone it's press & briefly hold the home key & power button at the same time.

ihearttea · 03/10/2014 19:40

Galaxy s5? Hold down home button (in the middle at the bottom ) and the power button.

googietheegg · 03/10/2014 19:41

On iPhone press the power button and the home button quickly at the same time

Redglitter · 03/10/2014 19:42

You can also swipe the screen on a Samsung to take a screen shot

Mintyy · 03/10/2014 19:43

Lol at everyone and their phones.

I obviously belong in the Jurassic age as I'm on laptop!

PrtSc isn't doing anything.

I've resorted to ye old c&p but I wanted to keep the whole thing, ideally.

Never mind eh.

Thanks for all replies!

On my laptop I press FN and then PRNT SCRN.

Onetwothreeoops · 03/10/2014 19:45

Isn't it hold down cntrl and prntscrn and then paste it into Word?

ahfuckit · 03/10/2014 19:46

It may sound a stupid question but are you going into a word processing app and pasting having pressed print scrn? That's what I usually do...

enriquetheringbearinglizard · 03/10/2014 19:46

Laptop. YY to Fn bottom left mine's in red letters and PrtSc on the top row three in from the number pad. Goes to Drop Box if you have it, or Ctrl and V when you've opened Paint.

Catsmamma · 03/10/2014 19:47

if you have Picasa then you open that, then CTRL/PrtSc together and it'll save it in there.

otherwise I think you'll have to paste it somewhere like onetwothree says

HaroldLloyd · 03/10/2014 19:48

When you press print screen are you the going in and pasting on a word doc?

Catsmamma · 03/10/2014 19:49

oooh i just did that it works...

so ctrl/prtsc together, then open wordpad and past it there.

Catsmamma · 03/10/2014 19:51

paste....godsake! :o

arrrghhhhwaiting · 03/10/2014 19:55

And more importantly now, what are you being to save so desperately? Spill!

Mintyy · 03/10/2014 19:55

Ooooooooh, it was the Fn key that I needed!

Thanks so MUCH, it has worked Wine Grin.

You see that's not fair. You come on here panickingand looking for help, then you don't let any of us know what the gossip is! Angry

HaroldLloyd · 03/10/2014 20:04

I am quite intrigued.

NatashaGurdin · 03/10/2014 20:17

I discovered by accident that when using Chrome on my laptop that I can save whole (for example MN threads) web page I'm looking at by using the print option (on the three line icon at the top right of the browser) and saving it as a PDF instead of printing. (Instead of using the print screen option).

I defaulted my printing options to this to save paper but can still send it to the printer if I need a hard copy.

CurlyWurlyCake · 03/10/2014 20:19

Spookily I only discovered that myself today mintyy
