Arrived to pick dd up to find she had just puked over her desk and in school sink. Very flustered teacher told me dd been poorly all day but didn't want to come home.

She was as white as her blouse and got home to find her temperature was 38. 5 Shock that is very high for my dd whose normal sits at around 36.8 (ear thermometer).

So apparently she has just been flopped in her chair all day and not done any work at all this after. But still had to go in at lunch to finish her comprehension Hmm

DD is 9 do probably not the best one to ask if she wants mummy to fetch her as this child would go to school if she had ebola if i let her.

Slightly surprised as most are quick to get rid of a vomiting Veronica.

LEMmingaround · 03/10/2014 16:58

I wouldn't expect them to call you for a child who looks a bit unwell, doesn't have an especially high temperature (they're not going to know she's normally on the low side), and who says she's fine.

I imagine they'd have called you when she was sick, if you hadn't been there almost immediately anyway. She probably wasn't that white before she puked.

Poor kid - hope she feels better soon.

LEMmingaround · 03/10/2014 17:04

My son was sent home from nursery a few weeks ago for being pale, hot and quiet so would have thought they'd have phoned you if she was sick. Hope she's okay soon bless her.

No. Teacher told me she was really poorly and she had been worried Hmm call the mother then ! No puking til end of day.

At least dd likes school though

At our schools any poorly-looking child goes to the nurse, who checks temp etc then calls parents.

Finola1step · 03/10/2014 17:31

I would have been tempted to see how she was after lunch. Then send her home early after pm register if still looking peaky.

Groovee · 03/10/2014 17:34

Any puking gets sent home here!
