Cabbage in vegetable lasagne

Is it me or should the vegetables in a vegetable lasagne but the ones you put in a ratatouille ie. peppers, onions, corgettes, aubergine, some sort of tomato based sauce - that sort of thing.

I have just bought my lunch and my vegetable lasagne has the following in it: white cabbage, french beans, leeks, cauliflower, peppers and spring onions in a tomato based sauce. Is it just me or is this really odd?

Well Danger, they'd fail. Fail so bad! Yorkshire puds are the best yet strangely least well known food ever.

Though I did see them on Buzzfeed recently.

Sunday dinner lasagne. Sounds a bit grim to me.

My mum makes vegetable lasagna, and uses root veg, like swede, parsnip and potato.

I think it's hilarious, but I'm busy that day.

Wot ouryve said, although as we're talking about lasagne we could call it sofritto.

I had a veggie omelette at IHOP (International House of Pancakes) once that contained what was clearly frozen veggie mix - cubed pieces of carrot, broccoli and cauliflower bits. It just seemed all wrong!

Ugh doesn't sound just weird, rather downright revolting.

I ordered a vegetable pizza once expecting similar vegetables to what you would expect in a lasagne. It rocked up with broccoli and carrots on top. The waitress couldn't understand why I thought it was odd since they were vegetables.

It's the spring onions that sound odd to me .
Cabbage and cauliflower - no way I'd be sharing your duvet tonight .

borisgudanov · 27/09/2014 11:30

I would put up with tomatoes obviously and onion just about. Other vegetables don't belong in lasagne unless it's a veggie lasagne. Cabbage? Eeeewwww.
