And Mark the road like some in this linkylink?

It's a small local school in a residential area, laods of parking between drives, but there's a handful of plinkers who Park in the middle of the bay, thus preventing 2 cars parking in that bay, which they could easily, even with my long car and slightly challenging spatial awareness.

I could draw chalky parking space lines to maybe help them, and everyone, to a more efficient school run. Though I'll probably deal with it in my own way which involve Seroius Muttering as I drive away.

Ohhh, have read the link and some of those are seriously mean Shock What about the one where someone has parked over two spaces in a giant empty car park - who are they affecting? No-one! Maybe they have just learned to drive. Or are giantly pregnant or just fat like me Or are collecting someone with a leg in

Iggi999 · 24/09/2014 19:31

Leg in plaster, that should say!
Maybe my reaction says more about my driving than anything else Blush

Tanaqui · 24/09/2014 19:32

Do it!

MrsWinnibago · 24/09/2014 19:38

I want to know why NONE of the photos in that link show the arseholes who park half on the pavement?

I deliberately scrape my buggy past those ones. It's that or go in the road...and I aint doin' that!

I'm not talking about cars with two wheels on a wide pavement where there's plenty of space for pedestrians to get past....but the ones who take up most of a narrow path. They can fuck off.

Pointlessfan · 24/09/2014 19:41

MrsWinnibago parking on the pavement is my pet hate since I've had a baby, I squeezed past a neighbour's car earlier then noticed that his drive was empty! I don't know how wheelchair users manage.

Iquite like the madder grammar note Grin

littlesupersparks · 24/09/2014 20:04

Someone draws around the dog poo on my school run. Big signs like 'pick it up!' 'Health hazard!'

I was quite impressed until my 2year old thought it was a hopscotch :-/

This might be of interest too www.livingstreets.org.uk/make-a-change/urgent-actions/pavement-parking

Pointlessfan · 24/09/2014 20:14

Thanks Pilau, I'll be doing that tomorrow.

Putmedownsaidthefish · 24/09/2014 20:25

Do it! Grin I would love to do it at my school but am too scared!

HappyAgainOneDay · 24/09/2014 20:25

We live on a footpath (with other houses) and there's a little car park for seven cars at the end. Fed up with people taking up so much room that we couldn't all get into the little car park, a neighbour took a tape measure, a pot of yellow paint and a paint brush and painted yellow marks to denote where the parking spaces are. Never had a problem since except when someone has my space.

Good luck to all who chalk or paint or leave notes for parking fools.

NormHonal · 24/09/2014 20:30

Oh, I so need to do this at our school!

helenenemo · 24/09/2014 20:34

I love by a school and deliberately block 2 spaces! It makes my 40 point turn in the morning much easier with out a tit parked on my bumper m

HouseOfGingerbread · 24/09/2014 21:37

Helen, wouldn't it be easier to do the 40 point turn when you park up in the evening, assuming the road's a bit quieter then? Then you're facing the right way for a swift escape in the morning.
