According to my dd the reason Ed wrote the song is that he thought they were in a relationship, told people etc and she denied it and had a thing with the OD boy. I don't think it was because she had a couple of flings it's was because he was 'played' and was hurt.

I heart Ed Sheerhan and was very sad that he was hurt by EG. He lives very locally to me and dontated lots to local charities.

I think the OD boy is turning into a Russell Brand wannabe player. So she's unreasonable for that. But otherwise I agree.

Lottie he has made millions, donations to local charities are probably mainly for tax reasons and personal benefit. Or maybe I'm cynical.

Please don't be cynical about tax relief on charitable donations.

For everybody £1 that a taxpayer gives to charity via Gift Aid, the charity receives an extra 25p from the government. The taxpayer gets up to 25p off his/her tax bill - but is still 78p worse off than if no donation were made.

It's true that some people have tried to abuse the Gift Aid scheme - but HMR has denied tax relief for every single one, and taken them to court if they didn't pay up.

Charities are losing out because of this (understandable) cynicism - but don't let the tax avoiders win by believing that all tax relieved charitable donations are automatically abusive.
