Ok when I was putting my bin out I noticed a bag on my door handle inside there was two teddys . They were both very dirty I think they were for my dd 20 months . I tied up the bag and put them in my drawer. So what does anyone think ? I name changed btw

Maybe a neighbour thought you'd dropped them?

JustSayNoNoNo · 23/09/2014 22:51

I think an elderly neighbour found them, remembered that you have a baby/toddler, and did their good deed for the day by returning them home.

Are you going to wash them and keep them?

FuckyNell · 23/09/2014 22:52

Maybe someone thought they belonged to your dd? Kids teddies can get pretty manky so I guess not improbable.

Why did you name change

MrsWinnibago · 23/09/2014 22:53

I agree...sounds like something an elderly person might do...especially if their eyesight's not good and they didn't notice the dirt. Do you have any reason to think it's somehow a strange or threatening gesture?

Singingbird · 23/09/2014 22:54

It's weird you felt the need to name change for this!

A well meaning neighbour probably thought they belonged to to you or something?

Just bin them.

polishes problem solving halo

Coughle · 23/09/2014 22:56

They might be evil teddies that will come alive at night. I wouldn't be keeping them in your drawer!

Ghostintheshell · 23/09/2014 22:58

There's no elderly in my star . There's this guy who been freaking me out ....I name changed it says where I live will be keeping the new one

Staywithme · 23/09/2014 23:00

Coughle! ShockGrin

Maybe a youngster left them for your baby. Kids do funny things.

MrsWinnibago · 23/09/2014 23:03

What guy? How has he freaked you out? no offence OP but stop drip feeding...spit it out and people can advise you.

Your OP as it stands is like me saying

"My neighbour has offered me a bunch of carrots...is this weird?"

Only to later add "Oh and he went down for poisoning the local allotment club with his home grown leeks"

Singingbird · 23/09/2014 23:04

Ok. What's the guy that's been freaking you out been doing exactly? Do you suspect he left them and why?

JeanneDeMontbaston · 23/09/2014 23:04

I bet they got chucked out of a pram by someone else's child and whoever saw them on the street just put them by the nearest house. Like children's gloves being popped on the nearest fence.

SqueegeeBeckenheim · 23/09/2014 23:09

While the most likely explanation is, as others said, someone thinking your child dropped them and just wanted to return them without disturbing you I'm still gonna say YANBU. They should have left a note if that was the case.

This happened to me once and it just kept progressing. Started with a teddy left on the porch and ended with a huge bin bag full of dirty children's clothes and bits of rubbish with torn off bit of paper taped to it that said "For BabyBeckenheim". Freaked me out. Never found out who did it.

Ghostintheshell · 23/09/2014 23:09

Can't see it being a kid as no other kids live in the block of flats . I don't really want to get in to why he freaks me out but it's enough for dh and to look at moveing

Ghostintheshell · 23/09/2014 23:12

I've had a heartbreaking day so I might be overlooking it I suppose

Sweetheart, you really need to stop drip feeding if you want some advice. This is AIBU, not the most forgiving of places at times.

You've name changed, why not tell us what the real problem is, we might be able to offer some help and/ or perspective?

JeanneDeMontbaston · 23/09/2014 23:33

So why mention it?!

Sorry, but this is weirder by far than someone leaving a couple of lost teddies on your door.

MandarinCheesecake · 23/09/2014 23:39

You have name changed my love, nobody here knows who you are but you.
If you have posted here its obviously bothering you, you sound like you need to talk but if you don't give any details then people wont give responses that may be of any use to you.

What is it?

ILovePud · 24/09/2014 06:41

Once someone left a pineapple on my doorstep, I was freaked out but days later found out it was left by a friend of my mum's who had it spare after a party! Another time a whole suitcase of old maternity clothes and baby stuff was left, I wasn't preggie at the time and never found out who left it. I can't say what is going on with the teddies OP but just sharing my experiences that sometimes weird things happen and there's nothing sinister behind them or at least there's no follow up.

Petradreaming · 24/09/2014 07:20

Once for an entire week I kept finding large mushrooms on my hall floor....it was very odd. Then I saw the cat bringing them in through the cat flap. No idea where she got them.

Clawdy · 24/09/2014 09:53

Someone broke into our car years ago and left a box of a dozen eggs on the back seat. Weird things happen!

magicalmrmistofelees · 24/09/2014 10:05

I would think it was weird in a 'haha how bizarre' kind of way, but the probably wouldn't give it another thought. But then I don't (currently) know any 'freaky' men. Think we need more information before we can judge this one, OP.

magicalmrmistofelees · 24/09/2014 10:06

Clawdy that is weird!!

MsVestibule · 24/09/2014 10:11

Somebody once put a hard core porn video through my letterbox. From the note attached, it was clear it was intended for my pervy, peeping tom neighbour opposite. That was strange.

Hope you're OK, ghost?

Ghostintheshell · 25/09/2014 12:29

Am comeing back to say today I found tons of teddys on my door lined up wtf today . There's a guy who always seems to be there when I go out come in am sure he waits at his door intil I walk past it's every time and always to put something in the bin and the way he looks at me and dd pretty freaky . Please help not judge

OP posts:
JeanneDeMontbaston · 25/09/2014 12:31

Of course you did.
