What's the ishooo with bugaboo here? I notice it mentioned alot but can't really figure out what the problem is?

I quite like the look of them, but as I love in the country there's no way I'd have one for practical reasons. . but I need to know why they're shunned a bit here on MN?!

How much is a Bugaboo these days? I really loved mine

Our Bee was just over £500 and we got the pram, cocoon, car seat adapters and the car seat for that (and they threw in the cup holder for free). That was two years ago.

We thought that was a bloody good deal, not expensive at all.

That was a good deal Pobble! I bought a year old like new Bee in London for £250, a new cocoon on top (£60), we didn't run a car. Two years later and countless long and short haul flights and it's going strong, we've bought no other pram. Replaced the handle bar locks a couple of times (DH tries to snap them in when it's not in place and knackers the mechanism) and that's only cost about £20. Delighted with it tbh.

We got a bugaboo donkey for our twins. It looks great and it has the benefit of having both seats facing towards you if you want. Other than that, it's inadequate in so many ways…the hoods are flimsy, the spokes come out all the time. The twins constantly pull on the clips that secure the handle bar, so the handle collapses all the time. The twins have pulled off all the spongy bits. There's hardly any space for shopping underneath and the basket doesn't stay in shape, making it easy for things to fall out.
