to not want DH to get this job because he looks after the children

my contract has been terminated, it ends in two weeks. I have two final stage interviews tomorrow. DH is a sahd. In the interim he's been looking for work, tomorrow as well, he has an interview. If he is successful, he has a second interview the following day which if he is successful, he will have an immediate start, like that afternoon.

I'm shakey enough regarding my interviews, but if he gets the job and I do, then we are thrown into a childcare nightmare.

Best case is I get one of the jobs and the status quo remains.

The main problem is is that we have no nestegg money. I think another problem will be us starting new jobs within a week or two of each other. We could both do the school run with a bit of BC and AC clubs at school.

if neither of us get a job asap we're screwed.

You both have potentially new jobs to start in. You are both in an incredibly lucky position.

You use childcare like shed loads of other people do.

If he wants a job you have no right to stop him,how would you feel if he didn't want you to get a job?

Not sure what the problem is.

If there's no problem with before and after school clubs, what's the problem?

PureMorning · 15/09/2014 19:54

Yabu

Sorry I don't see the problem. You can use before and after school clubs? Seems sorted!
