to feel a bit upset about how much easier life would be with good looks

Im pretty average looking, but can't help but feel life would be so much easier if I was stunning. It seems like even if you are a rough Geordie convicted of assault and saying racist things you can easily get forgiven and make millions flogging shampoo to insecure people. Seems double standards as plenty of ugly men are on TV, but apart from a few comedians no ugly woman.

I didn't say life would be perfect if your beautiful, but it is easier getting a leg up and a helping with many aspects.

I have come across said vapid, racist Geordie bruiser during my time at the start and end of my media carrea. Heard her bumble through the simplist of interviews where half the time she's confused and doesn't understand the simple question but just laughs and flicks her eyebrows.

Sara - let it go. Who cares? Loads of thick pretty people make money. Do you really envy them?

YABU One of my best friends is really really stunning. Women are often horrible to her without knowing her at all. Also the assumption that she's nothing but looks (when she's actually bright). Lots of women can be really really horrid to good looking women. She's had an awful time with female bosses (she's one of the nicest most hard working people I know so not justified). And she gets talked down to all the time by people like the OP who think that whatever she achieves is because she is good looking and life must be easy. Her life has not been easier than mine even though her exam and uni results are better than mine.

Your media "carrea"?
Hmmm...and she's the thick one?

SaucyJack · 14/09/2014 21:57

YABU. I was quite pretty in my younger days and IME the only thing it gets you is attention from the kind of blokes who aren't interested on what's on the inside.

Where did you work Witch, Holby City? Grin
I've met only a handful of doctor chasers in my time, most nurses are at work to care for patients, not get laid.

LOL second that MarkWright! most nurses wouldn't date the docs they work with, for a start we know that their work-life balance is shit why would we go there? besides unless (as you suggest :-D ) that poster works in a telly hospital, hospitals are NOT SEXY PLACES, I mean what? does she think nurses give bashful looks at the male doctors over a leg with necrotising fasciitis LOL? If a female doctor is a bit shit at their job or needs to work on communication with patients the nurses might not look too happy when they come on the ward but that's it, most nurses are busy and just care whether they write up prescriptions correctly or not.
