World Teachers Day?

Heya, just noticed that in my diary it says "world teachers day - Oct 5th" and I'm not entirely sure what this is (eldest has just started P1 and don't remember it when I was a kid).

Wibu in thinking this is some sort of day celebrating your teachers? And if it is wibu to get my dds teacher and d's nursery teacher some flowers or something? They're both great teachers, ds one has helped a lot with his hypermobility and dds has been pretty great at helping me get her behaviour under control at home (long story)

Oh forgot to say - I know it says world teachers day but cause I've never heard of it, is it even celebrated in scotland if at all?

Tattie Holidays? -clueless- the October holidays don't start til the 13th I think, was just curious cause it's not something I heard of and I'm in scotland

I think our tattie holidays are late this year. We are Highland. I will get ds3 to make his teacher a card. He lurves her!
