Before the summer I signed a employment contract stating my start date on the 1st of September.
Then I was told by email that my actual start date is the 2nd of September. Fine.
Went to work on the time/day agreed and to my surprise I am not starting until Monday next week 8th September. They forgot to let me know...
I was told this will not affect me...(?)
Does it mean I will get paid from the 1st like the original contract I signed?? I have obviously the copy of contract stating I start on the 1st and the email stating I actually start on the 2nd.
It is only a 10/h week job at a local school and the council is the employer.
Where do I stand? Am I being wrong to want to get paid from the 1st of September? I made myself available from the 2nd and had lost of earnings because of it.
