Had a fab summer at home with 2 dc, youngest starting school this week. Oldest hates school, has yet to find a best bud, really wants one
:(

So great summer, hanging our with friends, all the kids grown up together etc but you can see them drifting a bit now as they get older. All nursery pals are off to new schools......dc won't know anybody at school ??

So now 7 weeks of slog to get up and be out to school.

Aibu to be gutted the hols are over, the kids are growing up? I guess it's relationships changing etc......

Aw I know how you feel and I hope things look up for your eldest.

The real downer I remember having was when ds left toddler group and went to nursery - the groups were like a lifeline for me.

My DS1 has just got his first flat and is leaving home

Never gets any easier but it does become more easy to accept at every milestone, as we know what our job was, was to raise them as healthy intelligent individuals who will one day fly free

So hard though, I thnk if we could freeeze them around age 4 or 5 no parent would let them grow older ever!
