To wonder what I'm doing wrong

Online dating that is I only ever seem to get messages from men 20 years my senior or from 50 miles away while when I message the ones who look nice and normal they never get back to me! Or when they do it's to say thanks but you're not my type which makes me want to cringe!

So ... Where am I going wrong!?

How old are you? What's the picture you've put up like?

What type of hobbies etc have you listed? And finally what kind of man do you want?

If I were looking now...at my age (41) I wouldn;t mind a nice gentle 60 year old!

I am nearly 33 32

Hobbies - horses, gym, reading, theatre, hiking.

Picture - gross, because obviously it is of me! just a fairly "normal" picture. I'm in a bar with a cocktail but look fairly chilled and happy. I've got some different ones up too.

I would like children and I don't think a 60 year old would :)

I would say that someone you are looking to have a relationship with - ie share stuff with - might not be so interest in reading and the gym as hobbies. Firstly, everyone reads. Secondly, these are solitary pursuits, not something to do with someone (and isn't that what online Sayers are looking for?). I would drop that and make more of the horses, hiking and theatre. Make it sound like an enticing lifestyle, something someone might like to join you in.

As for not being the right type, well that's probably true for 99% of us, most of the time. No crime there. Stick at it, it will happen. But make sure this isn't the only fire you have in the iron, continue exploring RL avenues too.
