to be surprised that it seems the norm to have nekkid photos of yourself?

I guess its an age thing, but I'd be really surprised if any many of my friends had had nude photos taken, either by a lover or a professional photographer.

Perhaps I'll ask next time we're out and we've had a few!

But, meanwhile, I'll ask you lot: have you posed for naked pics, why and where are they now?

Oh and how old are you?

I think the ones of me were taken when I was about 2. No chance of them being in The Cloud. They're practically hieroglyphics.

wafflyversatile · 02/09/2014 22:48

Some naked bits, no full body and face pics.

I'm in my 40s.

TheGirlWhoPlayedWithFire · 02/09/2014 22:50

I haven't done any only because I've been married a few years and camera phones weren't around when I was single.

However I don't think there's anything wrong with people taking naked selfies. The celebrity hacker is clearly guilty of a massive breach of privacy and I feel sorry for those involved who may feel embarrassed/humiliated, even though they shouldn't.

xalyssx · 02/09/2014 23:03

This is the only picture of me in my underwear.

lots

Eauneau · 02/09/2014 23:11

I'm another who thinks its a very odd thing to do. A couple of DHs mates (well ex mates now actually) have apparently shown him pics of their girlfriends boobs (I know, I know they have proven themselves to be arseholes several times over) but my first thought was that I just couldn't imagine taking a picture of my boobs and sending it to someone - I would just feel like a total tool taking naked pics of myself!

FreckledLeopard · 02/09/2014 23:18

Lots over the years, though not as many pre-DC as I'd like.

I have no issue getting naked or having naked photos. I used to be a life model when I was young though and still have no qualms about taking my clothes off.

I draw the line at sex photos and absolutely would never do videos. But tasteful nudes I have no issue with.

WineWineWine · 02/09/2014 23:30

I have a few. They would never go anywhere near the internet though. I wouldn't text them, email them or store them in the cloud.
I think it is a shame that so many women have a poor body image. You only have one body, you need to love it.

BetterTogether75 · 02/09/2014 23:41

God no. I remember when I was about 12 my cousin and me found some nekkid pictures of her dad's girlfriend - I certainly concluded it's a bad idea!

AlleyCat11 · 02/09/2014 23:54

Sexting & cock shots. There was a time when young couples sent each other love letters...
I once went out with a bloke who often suggested that we capture our bedroom activities on camera. I think he wanted to share them on a swinging site he was into. Said yes once, so there might be pics of my foof out there somewhere. Luckily I have a full bush, so nobody will recognise it.
I've got a few belfies on my phone. Jelly close-ups help with diet motivation!

Summerisle1 · 02/09/2014 23:55

I'm an old gimmer but even in my youth (and allowing for the fact that I'm a photographer and have always moved in arty-farty circles) I always avoided having naked pictures taken because I was always suspicious about just how private such pictures would be.

I can remember being asked if I fancied doing some "modelling" and not surprisingly, this meant allowing amateur photographers to take tit pictures or for another couple of quid a session, muff shots. I declined that opportunity too.

Also, I can honestly say that nobody I've ever been in a relationship with has sent me a picture of their cock. For which I'm mightily grateful because male genitalia is rarely captured attractively on a phone camera.

slithytove · 03/09/2014 00:12

My husband has some 'interesting' pics of me, and of me and him. A couple of videos too. I don't see it as pornification, we found it a turn on and 3 kids later, it's nice to see what I looked like.

They are offline, stored on something without a direct internet connection.

Dubjackeen · 03/09/2014 00:15

As someone who only likes photos takes from a distance Grin, definitely fully clothed, (preferably dressed up) and definitely made up, that would be a NO from me. And that has always been the case, regardless of my age.

ToysRLuv · 03/09/2014 00:16

Early 30's and never even considered it. I look better with my clothes on than off, tbh. Even when I was skinny.

Weathergames · 03/09/2014 00:24

I have loads of us both but he's away a lot and in my defence I also write proper love letters to him liked what you put in the post box Blush.

Weathergames · 03/09/2014 00:24

I am 39 btw and have teenagers Blush.

Vacillating · 03/09/2014 00:36

God yes, nude and sex and all when well in teens but am ancient so the Polaroids were added to a bonfire at the end of the relationship. There are many reasons I am thankful that the digital age was not upon us when I was young.

Lauren83 · 03/09/2014 00:38

I have, I'm 31, I sent them my DP as he wanted them for the erm..men's room...when he had to give his samples (multiple ivfs!) he has videos too

Lally112 · 03/09/2014 00:39

Yes, and I sent them to DH (who I have been with for 16 years) and I have ones of him. normally email, sometimes phone. DH is away a lot (ex forces/ currently police) can be weeks or months at a time and it sort of helps keep our relationship going. I am 29, he is 31.

alleypalley · 03/09/2014 00:50

I'm 39. When I was in my early 20s I posed nude for a friend's photography project.

I've still got some boxed up in the back of a cupboard somewhere.

MrsKoala · 03/09/2014 00:52

I think naked shots are not necessarily the same as 'sexy' shots. The ones DH and i have which are considered saucy, we are actually both 'dressed'. The nude ones of me are not sexy at all.

I also have loads of nude paintings and collages of ex's and strangers. ExH and i had a huge painting of him naked in our dining room that i had done.

AppleAndMelon · 03/09/2014 01:26

Nekkid bump shots in pregnancy.

Only person to see them was DH. Oh - and my in-laws when DH forgot they were on the camera and handed to FIL to look at holiday photos Shock

MrsKoala · 03/09/2014 03:03

We have my nude bump shots framed and in the living room. Everyone says how nice they are - especially the cable repair man who seemed quite transfixed and picked one up the other day Blush Grin

joanofarchitrave · 03/09/2014 04:16

One shot of boobs that I sent to DH's phone once when he was at a low ebb, I thought it might cheer him up, which it did I think. It was post-40 and post dc. I would certainly be embarrassed if it suddenly came up in a work context.

GuybrushThreepwoodMP · 03/09/2014 05:44

DH has taken some of me. Some in a sex situation when I was young and pert, some when I was pregnant, some when I was all stretched and scarred after giving birth. I've taken plenty of him to but obviously his body hadn't been through so many changes! We're quite naked people when we're at home I guess.
