to be surprised that it seems the norm to have nekkid photos of yourself?

I guess its an age thing, but I'd be really surprised if any many of my friends had had nude photos taken, either by a lover or a professional photographer.

Perhaps I'll ask next time we're out and we've had a few!

But, meanwhile, I'll ask you lot: have you posed for naked pics, why and where are they now?

Oh and how old are you?

I bet there are most likely a few pics and vids of me that my dickhead ex showed to various rugby teams he played in (and other dickhead friends). I'm not remotely bothered and wouldn't care if they popped up now- though I'm absolutely sure my very reserved DH would die.

polkadotsrock · 02/09/2014 18:46

I'm in my late twenties but was early twenties at the time.

MrsTittleMouse · 02/09/2014 18:49

I'm in my forties and I have with DH (before we married) - this was in the Polaroid era and we burnt them because we were too nervous that they'd be found. I kill to get them back now, I'd love to have a record of my body before two pregnancies wrecked it.

Flexibilityisquay · 02/09/2014 18:49

I haven't, but its something I would like to do, before everything irrevocably goes south. I'm late 30's so on borrowed time. I'd love to have some pictures to look back on when I'm 80, and a mass of saggy wrinkles!

hoobypickypicky · 02/09/2014 18:51

Yes. I was about 27/28 years old and the photos were taken by a very dear, trusted platonic friend.

I was a size 8 to 10 at that time. I wanted to have a permanent reminder of how I once was, before I had children and before I lost my figure and my unusual (and imvho glorious) hair colour.

I'm glad I did. Two years later I had my first DC. Within a decade I'd suffered serious illness which significantly changed my figure and my hair forever.

Most of the photos weren't too good but there were a couple I liked. I keep them in an album together with all the family photos. It's upon my bookcase.

sillymillyb · 02/09/2014 18:56

I'm a bit like cat girl. I did top less modelling to pay my way through uni - again though, my views on it have changed now and boy did I have some lucky escapes.

My ex and I had some rather, er, candid shots of each other. My body was incredible then.... I'm not sure where they are now, but seeing as my boobs are already out there on the Internet I guess it's irrelevant.

Now I have been single 4 years, my ds has wrecked my body, and my views on porn etc have become a lot more conservative, I don't think I will ever have a nekkid photo taken of me again. I'm happy with that Smile

PourquoiTuGachesTaVie · 02/09/2014 18:56

I don't have any of me. However, dh and I have both accidentally acquired risque photos of our respective mothers (separately obviously).

The thing we were most shocked about was that these were taken in the 70s and 80s...so they had to get them developed by a real person!

sillymillyb · 02/09/2014 18:57

Oh, and I'm 33Smile

redexpat · 02/09/2014 18:57

I did it as a wedding present for dh. I saw his face light up when he saw a photographer offering boudoir shoots when we were at a wedding fair. It hadnt occured to me before that. They are in an album, not online, certainly not on display.

I once found pics of my mum Confused I assume they were taken by dad!

Titsalinabumsquash · 02/09/2014 18:59

I know someone who has a full length nekkid picture of herself on her stairway, so as you go up her stairs you're greeted by her naked fanjo and boobs... It's somewhat awkward tbh, you can't help but look the picture is flipping huge.

catgirl1976 · 02/09/2014 19:02

God no. I will never go on a reality show or seek fame in any way.

I wouldn't even go on something like TGBBO just in case (not that I can bake Grin )

VeryLittleGravitasIndeed · 02/09/2014 19:03

No, no naked photos here. I'm slightly in awe of people who have the confidence to do it. I don't mind wandering around my own house naked, but submitting to the scrutiny and permanence of a photo fills me with dread.

There is an element of control that you have to give up to have a photo taken - to be recorded without context at a moment in time - it took me years to be comfortable with even having my face photographed!

TSSDNCOP · 02/09/2014 19:10

No. I do not wish to be the person that broke the Cloud Grin

wonkylegs · 02/09/2014 19:19

No naked photos but an ex sketched me naked several times whilst I was sleeping. They were quite flattering (I was thin & pert, he is an amazing artist), he still has them apparently which is slightly disconcerting but you can't tell they are me unless you know.

TheFillyjonk · 02/09/2014 19:23

I take a lot of naked and suggestive selfies to wind my DP up when he's not here Grin. Sometimes, if I think I look good in the picture I'll keep it. My body's in pretty good shape and I know that it's unlikely to stay like it so I'd like a record... I'd consider arty professional shots.

Mintyy · 02/09/2014 20:17

I feel a bit sad that you mourn the loss of your youthful bodies everyone! There is no intrinsic merit in having a young and lithe body vs. a middle aged stretchmarky one

niceupthedance · 02/09/2014 20:24

I took/sent my first racy pics last year at the age of 39! It's fun, I don't put my face in the naked ones so it's all good.

thisforchangedname · 02/09/2014 20:48

Never told anyone this but when I was a VERY stupid 15 (ish) year old I had very low self esteem and wanted people to like me. I was talking to this guy on webcam and stuff was said, and he basically said unless I went topless he would never speak to me again. He was older, I was stupid and I regret it every day. I have no idea if he screen shotted it and yes my face was in it Sad

rainbowinmyroom · 02/09/2014 20:53

I sunbathe topless in Europe. There are photos of that, but it's a pair of tits, I wouldn't consider it come gross invasion of my privacy if they are out there.

I think it's pretty stupid to take photos saved in an online medium and expect them to be always 100% safe.

rainbowinmyroom · 02/09/2014 20:55

Yes, I have been sketched naked and also posed for a photography student mate. Not really hung up about nudity, though.

Sickoffrozen · 02/09/2014 21:38

I have loads. Nudity doesn't bother me in the slightest. We are a very prudish nation in general.

ChildrenOfTheDamned · 02/09/2014 22:28

Yes, I have done, back in the days when I was slim and non sagging. Grin It was also in the days before digital cameras and camera phones.

DH and I used to do it quite a lot in the first few years of our relationship. They're in a locked box in the loft. Wouldn't catch me doing it now though, but that's because I'm fat now. If I had a body like Jennifer Lawrence I'd whipping it all out frequently. Grin

Patsyandeddie · 02/09/2014 22:36

Loads! Might as well have some good memories when it all goes south!

Sallyingforth · 02/09/2014 22:38

My DP and I have been photographed nude on the beach by friends. They are just ordinary holiday pics, not compromising because we weren't engaged in anything other then sunbathing.

I haven't felt the need to take pictures while 'in the act', it seems vain and pointless. To take such pictures and upload them to the cloud is just asking for trouble.

HotPinkWeaselWearingLederhosen · 02/09/2014 22:41

Yup. Last time was earlier this year. They are on the iPad and the lap tops. I like them despite all my wobbly parts being out.
