to be surprised that it seems the norm to have nekkid photos of yourself?

I guess its an age thing, but I'd be really surprised if any many of my friends had had nude photos taken, either by a lover or a professional photographer.

Perhaps I'll ask next time we're out and we've had a few!

But, meanwhile, I'll ask you lot: have you posed for naked pics, why and where are they now?

Oh and how old are you?

mintyy think I may have jumped the gun a bit there! Sorry to hijackGrin

MrsKoala · 02/09/2014 18:19

I had a nude shot taken by an ex on hols - you can't see anything as i'm holding boobs and leaning forward - it was a quick snap taken as we were messing around. i was 19 and bloody gorgeous.

I had some nudes done professionally of me when i was pregnant first time round as i just loved my pregnant body so much.

dh and i have some saucy pics of each other, but i'm not worried about it, they are much more, umm, 'incriminating' for him than me Wink

lordnoobson · 02/09/2014 18:19

how odd to want to take a pic of yourself nekkid.

fatlazymummy · 02/09/2014 18:19

No (I'm 54). In my day there was readers wives mags or polaroids, but that was it really. I never did either, but I vaguely remember a couple of guys asking me to pose for photos for magazines. I said no.
Yes it does seem pretty normal behaviour for younger people.

lordnoobson · 02/09/2014 18:20

If i sent a nekkid pic to H he would be horrified and a bit sick I think

PenisesAreNotPink · 02/09/2014 18:21

40's and it would never occur to me

I would have had a naked photo shoot done while pregnant as that was all the rage when Demi Moore did it but I never got round to it

It's too easy to hack - it's not like it's a surprise that people would like to steal naked pictures. I work with teenagers and I always tell them never to take nude photos and send them

If you text them/email them they are also on your providers server - why would anyone trust Vodaphone/BT/3 to keep nude photos of them

BreakOutTheKaraoke · 02/09/2014 18:22

Underwear pics, late 20s. Think it's the norm now.

catgirl1976 · 02/09/2014 18:23

I had a brief period of doing it for a living when I was a lot younger Blush

But never for a partner. And I'm not sure poor DH would want pictures of my nearly 40 year old, post baby, flabby body Grin

Alisvolatpropiis · 02/09/2014 18:24

I have done. Taken by me for my now DH. Years ago now though, over half a decade. They're probably still lurking on his stolen handset or indeed all over the Internet.

Nobody (except perhaps people I've slept with and they are few and long ago) would know it was me mind. My face most certainly does not feature.

I'm mid 20's.

FindoGask · 02/09/2014 18:25

I used to have a couple of pictures of my tits pre-and post-reduction surgery at various stages of healing, but they were on an old computer. And pretty niche, as wank-material goes.

nancy75 · 02/09/2014 18:25

if i put naked photos of myself online the sheer horror would break the internet and i will be blamed for the end of civilisation as we know it :)

Mintyy · 02/09/2014 18:28

Did you catgirl, how interesting. Where are the pictures now? Does it worry you?

Stirrup · 02/09/2014 18:32

We took some a couple of years ago. We were having IVF in london and their on site 'facilities' (video, not even a DVD, a video!, and magazines) were rubbish so said DH. And they didn't allow couples to go in together. So we did some photos/videos he could use...

Our second IVF clinic in Spain was much more relaxed, we were allowed to go in together! That cycle worked Grin

I think DH still has them on his phone...

wigglybeezer · 02/09/2014 18:35

I have, arty black and white ones in my twenties, pre digital days. One was for a friends photography portfolio and one was for a rather swanky professional photographer, who asked me after I had been the life model for a how to draw and paint magazine!

I never look at them, don't want to compare bodies, but I believe DH has a look occasionally!

Nancy66 · 02/09/2014 18:36

No. never appealed to me and would hate to be sent a cock shot as well.

catgirl1976 · 02/09/2014 18:36

Mintyy I did mainly fetish model work and some topless "glamour" stuff when I was a student. I was in the Daily Star once.

I'm not proud of it now. I'm ashamed of it per se, but my views on porn and page 3 etc are very different now. I was very young and thought it was "cool" in some way. Obviously, I don't think that now. I've grown up.

It does worry me that someone could find them on-line and it would be very embarrassing at work etc.

So far, nothing has surfaced and it was a very long time ago, so I am hopeful it won't. If it did I would be ok I think. There was nothing too graphic, but still. I'd be a bit mortified.

I do worry about the rise of "sexting" and the way children can share very explicit images with ease. :(

bluesbaby · 02/09/2014 18:37

I sent my OH a boobs picture when he was away for work once (after some banter on the phone) and the following day his co-worker saw it on his phone. Blush Never again!

catgirl1976 · 02/09/2014 18:38

That should read "I'm not ^ashamed of it per se"

Nancy66 · 02/09/2014 18:38

Don't ever get famous catgirl - or go on a reality show!

Bulbasaur · 02/09/2014 18:39

What do they expect, exactly?

A reasonable expectation to privacy.

That's as stupid as asking what a drunk girl was expecting at a party. Let's not go victim blaming here because someone else violated her right to privacy.

AhoyMcCoy · 02/09/2014 18:40

The nekkid photos thing didn't even have me raising an eyebrow, but those celebs that had videos of themselves masturbating or with pictures of themselves covered in semen, dear god I felt sorry for them. Mortifying.

Titsalinabumsquash · 02/09/2014 18:42

God no!

I had some taken for a photographer friends portfolio in y bra and knickers when I was very pregnant, they were black and white arty ones but even then the undies didn't come off.

In the very, very few times I've though about sending DP a cheeky snap, I can't even get the camera in an angle that doesn't produce something entirely grotesque, nothing remotely "sexy"

I did also once have some photos taken of me when I was asleep, I am a very deep sleeper and as a teen I lived with my friend and his parents and older brothers, one of the older brothers was a disgusting perv and would wait until I was sparko before lifting my vest top and taking a snap or pulling my bottoms down slightly or trying to pose my finger in my mouth sort of thing.

I only found out when a friend of mine worked at the chemist he'd been in to get them developed (old photo days!) I had to call in the police to get them removed and destroyed. Angry

BlackWings · 02/09/2014 18:43

It's a generational thing. Wouldn't have fancied handing in a spool of naked pics to the guy in boots!
Really wish I had one of me as a gym honed 20 something though.

Mintyy · 02/09/2014 18:44

Its all about the pornification of society innit.

I hope my dd doesn't get into this sort of thing, but then I wonder if I'm just a dreadful old prune.

lavenderhoney · 02/09/2014 18:45

I don't have any naked shots, I have some racy ones though and they don't show my face.
An old bf has said he wished camera phones had been about when we were dating as he only has the memories in his head:) I am quite thankful but I think I was a bit different then, naked- 2 cs later and quite a few years:)

I was asked to send a pic once and sent quite a nice one I thought. Apparently I got it all wrong, I was supposed to be naked:) as if:)

Snapshot can be used as it deletes, but it can still be screen shot so don't go down that road.
