So a few months ago our neighbour was issued with a harassment notice after trying to force entry to our home.

I posted on here about it and received a lot of support - thanks guys.

Unfortunately after months of keeping our heads down and trying to sell our home we have had to phone the police again.

DH left the house today with the little ones to come pick me up from work. The NDN was outside asked DH what he was looking at and threatened to knock him out.

When we got back NDN literally downed tools and stood and watched us all the way into our house.

I contacted the police who came out and took a few details. The officer then went round to NDN and stayed there for an hour. He popped back to is for 2 minutes said that he would be back but that it may take a week and told us the he new NDN wife as she used to be his boss at his old job.

This has left me feeling uneasy.

Any views would be appreciated.

Document everything. Get a cell and video tape them if you have to. You're allowed to use your cell in your own yard.

Sorry, I didn't get the bit about the wife... and suspect that is the bot that makes you feel uneasy!

Is this it?

Policeman went to talk to NDN, was there for over and hour. Came back to you and said he would be back but it may take a week... because NDNs new wife used to be the policeman's boss before he was a policeman.

Yes nomama that's the bit I'm uneasy about.

Call and ask for your case to be passed to another officer due to potential conflict of interest

Nomama · 28/08/2014 21:25

Well, he has told you... and he will now have to tell his line boss and they will agree if he is too close/compromised to do his duty.

Just keep on doing what you have been doing and see what happens. Make sure you chase this visit up next week if you haven't heard from him.

I would probably feel sorry for the policeman and somewhat reassured by the fact that he had declared a possible conflict of interests/problem so quickly.

Good luck with the NDN.

Thanks nomama. Considering what's going on in our town at the moment I'm not sure the police are going to do anything.Hmm
