Dh started college last week . He didn't get his first loan payment last week as the desk who scan the letter were closed .
He got is scanned today and came and telling me and had the letter there . When I looked at it , it said "await NI" next to all the payment dates . So i looked the the glossary of terms on the reverse and it said payment cannot be made as we don't have your NI number or something like that .
I've said to him about phoning them to make sure they have all the details they need but he is absolutely adamant that the college would have told him today if there was a problem when they scanned the form . I'm saying the college would have no idea whether SLC have his NI number or not . He thinks it will have "flagged up"
Anyway I know it sounds trivial but we really need that money . It takes 5 days to process so if in 5 days the money doesn't go in he will need to phone them then wait another 5 days . By then all sorts of bills will have came off hat my wages just won't cover .
So anyway I think he should phone them tomorrow and make sure but he's adamant no it's a waste of time .
