First Iain puts the ice cream in the freezer by his work station, then the chest freezer when it is in the bowl. Then he puts it in Diana and Nancy's freezer when it is in the tin.

Huh? I didn't think she put the meringue on at all, her ice cream wasn't set. I suspect that's where she got brownie points because, unlike Iain, she made the best of a bad job and produced something the judges could try.

Yes, his is the one in the black springform cake tin in the bottom left of the freezer in the first picture.
In the second picture there is a lot of other stuff there and at no point do we see anyone taking it out of the freezer.

It must have been the ice cream she was squishing then.

Dough is kneaded and then baked thus killing off all the paw sweat. It was just the sight of her mauling it in vain in an attempt to make it stay on the cake. Didn't make it seem overly appealing to me.
