To want you to lie to me...

Tell me this gets better. Please tell me this gets better.

DH is lying on the sofa with a temperature of 38.9. DS is howling at the bottom of the stairs because I have snuck upstairs to the loo. I have been cooking with him in the kitchen (10 mo old) due to the DH situation and have had
a) crying because the washing machine stopped turning- he had pressed the pause button. And the spin this wash at the highest speed possible button; so the pause button was a bit of a relief;
b) a play session with the apples our neighbour gave me last week that I haven't managed to deal with other than to take out (most of) the wormy ones and (hopefully) all of the rotten ones. There are now apples across my kitchen floor, mixed in with the duplo, in the duplo box and over the hall.
c) posted my oven gloves out through the cat flap. The cat is out in the rain because he doesn't like DS and feels it is unfair that DS is in his kitchen.

Is this bad? Is this even close? Is it just that my period started a week early?

Apart from DH being well at the moment, there are toys everywhere, wet towels all over (kids been in spa) nothing cooked and kitchen, bathroom and play room a tip. Computer playing up, new phone with no signal, insurance company pestering me for my NCB, toast in the DVD player, and on and on.

And why don't window cleaners clean the inside too? What's the point them being clean on the outside and filthy in here!

I had 6 children in the house yesterday ranging from 4 months to 15 years, (only two are mine) helping themselves to the contents of my kitchen cupboards, 4 dogs in the garden oh and water pouring threw the ceiling from a faulty over flow pipe in the water tank!, oh and the shits from the mortgage company being difficult on the phone..... Happy thoughts :)

It all gets better - they eventually leave home Grin

Then it's just constantly leaving there stuff here - can i just store this for 5 years?

Oh it will get better! When one of you is ill it's always awful, especially with a baby. I am the ill one in my house today and DW has decided today is the day to suggest Dd has 2 friends to sleep over and enjoy a latenight streaming of a pop concert. It is a lovely gesture and her friends and Dd are thrilled but it is the very LAST thing I want!! Hey ho!!!!

Thank you, this is helping...

DS chatting away now in his cot. Very awake. Very, very awake, because I normally try to let him let off steam in the afternoon and that wasn't really possible today.
DH tucked up with an orange juice watching a repeat of Great British train journeys; temp down to 38.0.
There is no room in the house that does not look like a tornado has swept through it. There is no shelf below 3ft that has not been tidied onto the floor. I don't remember what my floor looks like.

But I have just remembered that there is an open Red in the kitchen. [running away emoticon]

So I have decided to call today a success.

DS is still alive.

DH is still alive.

The cat is still alive.

I am still alive.
