Hacked off
Stumped
"I'll tear you a new one" (this one is particularly disgusting imo)

I read them FAR too often on MN. Angry

For some reason the one I don't like is 'You have been given lots of very good advice here.'

I always 'read' it in a pompous, disapproving sort of tone!

tittifilarious · 22/08/2014 10:16

I'm in work so please excuse the asterixes or acronyms.

I like pull your finger out because I DO actually mean pull your finger out of your a* when I say it.

BMP - I like that too. I will refer to a potentially explosive situation as a PBer.

None of the opening three particulalry bother me either.

I do take umbrage with the following:
End of - end of what? And just because you say "end of" doesn't mean that is actually the end of the discussion, particularly when you have made really poor points (it's ALWAYS made when someopne makes really poor points).
Rant over! - stop being so melodramatic.
At the end of the day - just say "ultimately".

And pretty much every post which says "round here..." because it's usually a shorter way of saying "I don't know what hellhole you live in and which savages you live amongst but ROUND HERE we do things properly".

Rant over! Grin

Boils my piss is horrible. I'd never heard of it till I posted on here and I thought it was just disgusting. Typical keyboard warrior phrase, they'd never say that to someone in real life.

PuppyMonkey · 22/08/2014 10:50

"Makes my teeth itch" actually does make my teeth itch a little. Literally ( yes that's another one).
Grin

MrsW here are three possible explanations for stmpd...

Another vote for 'boils my piss' - what's wrong with 'makes my blood boil'? It's like there was a perfectly good expression, but someone decided to make it a bit swearier.

Not an expression as such, but when someone starts speaking with 'Look...' or, even worse, 'Listen...', it puts my back up.

Bear with me makes me think bare with me, which is rather forward isn't it?

"Wind your neck in" is used a lot here. I don't really like that one but it's very apt for what it means.

JessyJames · 22/08/2014 11:39

"Oh my gosh" , sounds so prissy. Just say "oh my god" or fuck!
