Barking dogs...

Rather a what would you do, than an AIBU...
I have very noisy inconsiderate neighbours next door to me. In the last week we have had to ask them to keep the noise down as they like to party in their garden, normally starting at 1am lasting until 3am.
When we asked them to keep the noise down they got quiet stroppy and defensive.

They went to work this morning leaving their two dogs in the garden and the dogs are still in the garden and my neighbours haven't returned. The dogs have been barking on and off since it got dark. They are still barking now and no sign of the neighbours (poor bloody dogs).

Anyone got any ideas about the best thing to do? I'm not keen on calling the RSPCA as I think this will open a whole can of worms, but just leaving 2 barking dogs for 16 hours is unacceptable.

RSPCA won't do anything anyway

Dog warden? Env health for noise but be prepared to log in diaries for ages before they do much

Don't get me wrong the noise is annoying, but I am more concerned about the dogs welfare.

Local dog warden is your best port of call rspca are usless unless its a high profile case

If it's noise complaint it's local authority. RSPCA are charity for animal cruelty not barking dogs

If dogs have food/water RSPCA can't do anything by law - can you see if they have food/water? Lots of owners lock dogs outside all day as they can't be arsed to train dogs not to destroy house while no one home.

The dogs have to have food shelter and water while outside.

Have they got all of these things? If they do there is nothing that can be done.
If they don't telephone the RSPCA and they will leave a card and probably do the tape test.
