I'm seeing a huge banner across every page and the O2 one is the least intrusive. The bloody sauerkraut one is ridiculous. Posts aren't highlighted. I have to scroll for ages to move down the page as everything is unnecessarily huge. I know everyone moans when an interface changes but this is just clumsy.

Feels distinctly lowbrow.

I don't really think it's just a strop about change. It's just so awkward to see and navigate now as everything is so big.

Fucking hate it. No bookmarks. No highlighting. No way am I going to be here as much if those issues don't get corrected. Can't be arsed reading a long thread if I can't id the op posts and no bookmarks will be a giant pain in the arse. Mnhq sort it out!

Yellowdinosaur those issues don't need to be corrected, they aren't issues, you can still do it. You need to follow the instructions that have been posted countless times already. To highlight, click on the down arrow at the top right of the page, where you will find the customise menu. To bookmark click the three dots on the bottom right of the post you're on and click bookmark. Not difficult, not worth having a temper tantrum about.

Mine just doesn't work - it crashes when I try to do anything (was fine yesterday), so I haven't been able to try any of the fixes suggested on here. Is anyone else finding it's less stable than the old version?

I managed to highlight the opening post but all other posts by the OP are not highlighted.

One of the buttons on the bottom banner is under one of the screen buttons on Dolphin browser so I can't use it.

I hate it too and desktop mode isn't usable on my phone.

Also yes, have changed settings back to highlight OP, but only the OP itself is highlighted.

YANBU - it's awful on a blackberry: only a 1cm strip of text between the top and bottom banners. I have tried switching it to the desktop site but it's all too big and slow. I'm off til they've sorted it out. Bye Mumsnet!

How can I get into the settings bit with this newfangled layout?

I'm normally fairly accepting of new layouts etc but I HATE it.

Have also reverted to desktop on my iPhone.
