is what I said when I tipped the bin over the other day. Really loud.

Now my 2yo says it ALL the time.

And I hate taking the lord's name in vain. IT JUST CAME OUT AND NOW IT CAN'T BE TAKEN BACK.

Yes, always the worst ones they remember! My ds called me a twat when he was about 3 when I dropped a glass Blush (my fault, I must of slipped up around him) One of my favourites was from an my DP's aunt who has a boy the same age as mine, he was feeling a bit unwell so his sister whose about a year or so older started doing a conga and my aunt joined in (she told me this story) they did it just from the lounge to the kitchen when he just stopped suddenly and went, "I've had enough now, this conga is shit!" Grin

DS (5) told DD(2) to "get in the bloody car" today Blush

Oh yes we also read a book about a rabbit who has a smelly skunk as a friend , I will leave it to your imagination what a 20 month sounds like saying smelly skunk.....

KrisBH · 15/08/2014 22:46

My dd (2) says 'shitbags' loudly and in public sometimes because she's copying me (oops). I find it cute and hilarious but obviously have to pretend I don't. Working hard on my potty mouth, but find it sooooo hard not to swear!

Dd (3) F bombed the other day and repeated for clarification when I asked what she said Blush

My favourite though was dss (4) a few weeks ago playing with his figures. "Go away Spider-man or I'll twat you!' Grin (I can grin because that one wasn't my fault!)

Over many years of childminding I have become used to hearing profanities from the mouths of toddlers. I think most that I have cared for have picked up an unsavoury word or two from being around when toes are stubbed or glasses are dropped at home. I have only felt the need to mention the strongest, least socially acceptable words I've heard in order to ensure it was clear they hadn't come from me.

A 2YO chanting "Fuck it" repeatedly as they put jigsaw pieces in wrong has to be one of the funniest sights I've ever had the pleasure of seeing Grin

MrTumblesSpottyHag · 15/08/2014 23:01

From about 18 mo DD has said "Oh God. Ohhhh God" in increasingly urgent tones until you respond to her. Usually when she's dropped something.
I'm blaming my DM!

imsorryiasked · 15/08/2014 23:09

I made a conscious effort not to swear. Thought i was doing really well by using alternative phrases. Until i heard ds saying "tricky little sucker". I knew what he was saying but everyone else was Shock

loaderloader · 15/08/2014 23:35

DH is really uptight about swearing.

I knocked a drink over a while ago and said "Bugger" loudly. DS 4yo shouts down the stairs "What did you say mummy?" refuses to let it go "Did you say bugger?" Etc. DH was looking increasingly pissed off. I apologised and reassured DH it was a one off. Slowly and carefully explained to DS it was a naughty word, he shouldn't use it etc. Fuss over I started clearing up.

DS then walks down the stairs, spots the spillage as he passes and totally casually says "oh shit".

loaderloader · 15/08/2014 23:39

Grin at the jigsaw Goldmandra.
