I have a chance to meet someone on my laminate list....

What do I do? Really? I have a real chance, one on one with someone on my laminate list. Do I seek an intimate moment with him, or more probably, try and look cool and aloof? DH says, "Go for it!" Hmm

Is this someone you know?

I'm struggling to understand tbh.

If you're me, you just get star struck and tongue tied and make an utter cock of yourself. Good luck though!

amy83firsttimer · 09/08/2014 23:11

Do you really have a chance with them or just the chance to meet them? Also would laminate rules be upheld or rejected as hypothetical if actually invoked?

MummyBeerest · 09/08/2014 23:13

I'd go for it.

If that person was worth it upon actually meeting them.

Who is it??

curiousgeorgie · 09/08/2014 23:14

I need to know who it is to make a decision Wink

DoJo · 09/08/2014 23:15

Have you actually printed and laminated the list? Because as long as it is only theoretical, I think you are on dubious contractual grounds...

justanotherbiscuit · 09/08/2014 23:18

I think we at least need a gentle hint at who it is before advice can be given Wink

Cookingmonster · 09/08/2014 23:21

Interesting. It's not actually laminated but I know who is on his list and he knows who's on mine. It's a verbal contract. Interestingly, he has just noted that all of his are Americans and 4 of mine are British, so my chances are higher. Very real chance of not only meeting him but one on one time with him as well.

MysteriousCircusZebra · 09/08/2014 23:22

Who is it?

SecretRed · 09/08/2014 23:22

We need to know who it is!

ColdCottage · 09/08/2014 23:23

YY more info.

Who is it and what is the context of the meeting?

Cookingmonster · 09/08/2014 23:31

Dammit! What's the point of having a laminate list then?!

OP posts:
InkleWinkle · 09/08/2014 23:31

We can't possibly give you advice until you tell us who it is & how come you're going to have this chance Grin

thecageisfull · 09/08/2014 23:31

Someone on my list follows me on twitter. We DM each other. It's usually boring stuff about our kids rather than 'I must have you now', but still...

Does the person on the list get a say in this btw?

Cookingmonster · 09/08/2014 23:44

None of the above EatShit, although I will say that most on MN love him. I think the person in question does get a say in it this Lonny. I will not tie him down without his permission.

BookABooSue · 09/08/2014 23:45

Drat! I've just realised that I don't know what the etiquette is if your laminate listees are married. If it makes them out of bounds then my list has shrunk to one. Shock
