dexter73 · 08/08/2014 16:29

I have cat in a peg basket, because pegs are very comfy to lie on.

SoppyCat definitely does - she purrs and purrs as you do it and then falls asleep with a daft look on her face. Like this!

My df always said cats lay on their backs in a fight so when rats etc went for their soft bellies they would grab them and use theirs back legs to disembowel them. Well that's what mine does to any unsuspecting tickler.

So, am I the only one to have unwittingly masturbated a cat?

Vitalstatistix · 08/08/2014 16:36

ime, a cat offers you their tummy for you to give them exactly three strokes. If you give them a forth, they will bite your arm off.

I love cats. Grin

I think that honour is all yours!

"I think that honour is all yours!"

LOL Smile

Not one that I had expected. But I think it might have given me some insight into why (male) cats like their tummy stroked.

MissBeehiving · 08/08/2014 16:43

To be honest partial, it almost happened to me this week. I was stroking the head of the stray tom that's appeared at our house - he rolled over and showed me his tum and a lot more besides but I stopped at that point Grin

Wolfiefan · 08/08/2014 16:49

Both my cats loved their tummies being stroked!

catsmother · 08/08/2014 17:13

1 of my cats loves having his tummy stroked (and kissed Blush) for ages ... you can hold him like a baby in the crook of one arm for over an hour and he'll be purring away like anything.

3 of them also seem to enjoy having their tummies stroked, but only for so long before they twist away. But rarely bite or grab.

The other 1 would have your arm off at the shoulder if you tried - which is kind of inconvenient as he's very long haired and I'm perpetually having to feel around every part of him to extract grass seeds, bits of leaf, bits of sticky plant, slugs !! (on occasion) etc, as well as tease out any tangles by hand before he gets matted as he won't let me near him with a brush for more than 5 seconds.

dexter73 · 08/08/2014 17:19

Fanjo - your cat has serious body dysmorphia!!

BertieBotts · 08/08/2014 17:21

I would never tickle a cat's tummy but they do like them being stroked usually.

All female cats thankfully Grin Shock

Beautifullymixed · 08/08/2014 17:21

Is this a tummy to bury your hand in?

Well don't! Dozy, beautifullymixed tortiecat will have your hand clamped in a vice before you even see her move.

Shock at the frisky cats!

Glad I have prim and proper girls. Smile

I wish he was my cat.

Can't have cat these days as DD is allergic

Beautifullymixed · 08/08/2014 17:28

Fanjo what about a sphinx?

Anarchy99 · 08/08/2014 17:31

This is the 'cute furry animal' pose and is potentially dangerous!

They want you to rub their tummy so that they can attack! Grin

We used to have a cat that did this and would then clamp his claws around your arm and chew your fingers!

dexter73 · 08/08/2014 17:31

Devon Rex cats are supposed to be good for people with allergies and at least they have fur.

PittTheYounger · 08/08/2014 17:33

i bloody love cats

Need to test dD with a devon rex.

She loves cats too. From a distance.

meddie · 08/08/2014 17:41

old girl only the head is acceptable. Deviate from the assigned stroking place and you risk your fingers.

Young fluffy boy, loves his tummy being stroked and bushed with a tangle teaser. He drools

young short haired boy. loves under his chin and base of tail. Anything else and he walks away from you slowly, growling his displeasure.

apparently 5 am is optimum tickling time

honeybeeridiculous · 08/08/2014 18:00

Laying on his back, ready to chew a hand off Grin

Not quite "if I fits I sits", but just as funny!

I could never have cats, I find them adorable when they're kittens but not so much when they're older so I'd be a horrible owner! I just look at pictures instead.
