Browsing through AIBU and I notice that on some threads the op is from 2012/13

Or is it just me?

It's been like that all week - right across different boards, strange.

tankytoppy · 08/08/2014 13:34

Genuine question -what is the problem with someone resurrecting a zombie thread?

I've often wondered why people don't like it?

BIWI · 08/08/2014 13:46

It's often something that spammers do - they come on here and search for posts that might be relevant to whatever they're selling, and post on them

greenhill · 08/08/2014 14:03

Also some goady f'ers people like a bunfight and resurrect controversial threads hoping to wade in. I wonder what goes through some heads as they advance search some topics...

WalkWithTheLonelyOnes · 08/08/2014 14:24

Tanky I've got no issue with it unless it's a thread that wound people up

It's the school hols....

The younger set of the hairy handed like to come and upset the silly old mummies.

greenhill · 08/08/2014 14:32

ADHDNoodles if you customise your settings you can see which poster started any thread in active conversations with the date and time on it. It's also good to have your posts and the OP's in different colours, you can also get rid of pages too, so have all posts on one page to scroll through.

YY CaptChaos one hairy handed sort had looked up 'beaver' with hilarious consequences...

YoniMitchell · 08/08/2014 14:33

There have also been some 'what's the funniest thing you've read on MN?' type of threads, so posters link to the memorable zombies and some get commented on again by the new readers. I lost most of yesterday by reading about a bobble plate and lemon drizzle cakes.
