to think in 3 hours you can do more than put a pile of clothes away and put 2 items into binbags and put them in the loft?

Just that really. I took our 3 dc out this afternoon so dh could really get on tidying and cleaning. He slept in until 9.30 (as did I yesterday when he was home as we took it in turns after bad nights with dc). I thought great I'll keep dc out of the way as long as possible which as much as I love dc is hard work and tidying the house is the easier option (dh agrees with that), but I'm totally at a loss as to how he filled 3 hours. I just walked into our bedroom (the main room to tidy as it always gets left until last) and the mess is just moved from floor to bed so he can vacuum - which he did after we returned and while I was trying to cook dinner and stop dc arguing.
I know if I say anything I will sound like a nag but seriously, aibu or is he taking the p?

My uber-tidy DH often wonders how I can achieve so very little tidy-wise in several hours.

No, that is shit. That's worse than when I take the kids out, including miserable teething ds3, while dh cleans and get all hopeful about what I might come back to but instead of a broad spectrum clean, I return to a fucking gleaming kettle and toaster. What use is that, to anyone? Fucking none.

Anyway, clearly I'm that annoying fucker that makes everything about me but I get your frustration and offer sympathy, which is about as much use a a gleaming fucking kettle.
