to wonder if men actually fart more?

Do men naturally fart more often/noisily/smelly? Or are we just conditioned to not stink the room up by society? Obviously I fart, but mostly silently and usually with very little smell, but I don't see myself as 'ladylike'. All the men I know seem to merrily fart loudly and stinkily.

I think it's definitely a social conditioning thing. Though diet comes into play too - the more carbs the more farts. When I went low protein for 6 weeks I barely farted at all.

I have never and will never fart in front of OH, My best mate and I however let rip haha.

It's about time and place I think.

Although I don't believe men in general are really bothered.

I think beer = smelly farts. And I personally think more men drink beer than women.

So yes, I think men fart more...

I drink just as much beer as DH, we just don't do it in front of each other. It is about time and place

If i farted every time i needed to - however much I've been conditioned - it would never be as much as dh.

But he also poos much much more than me.

But maybe it's just different people.

DP parts at least every hour. Me? Once a day whilst I'm on the toilet, perhaps even less than that.

DP can take four shits at work and then come home and take another one whereas I can go for two weeks without pooing once ( unhealthy I know)

I do far more that DH.

DS is the worst though, and does those cloying "ninja" ones whilst cuddling now and thinks they are hysterical

We shit and fart pretty equally here. I can produce some right shockers at times

No man farts more than me!

Even if DH farts, the kids still blame me.

Men with no manners appear to fart more than women with good manners. And vice versa.

I usually go once a day pretty standard really. DH goes 3 or 4 times a day.

He is not a big farter but does let rip with his first morning pee. I can hear it through 2 walls and 2 closed doors. It is thunderous!!

He doesn't really fart in front of me maybe a couple of times in 8 years and he always apologises and looks embarrassed.

I am a secret farter, I don't do it in front of DH but quite happy to do it in front of parents/brother

I think they do fart more yes op and they are stinkier wonder why? Me and DH eat basically the same diet except for lunch most days. Hmmm...

Not in my gaff. I'm a lentil munching veggie and DP isn't.
