To think that "they" could have done a bit better on providing access to the Scotland Decides debate outside Scotland?

STV player is dead (presumably because of all the other disenfranchised Scots trying to find out whether they are soon going to be expats). Could they not have just put it on ITV 4 or something? Or on youtube? Or the radio?

It's a shouting match!

WooWooOwl · 05/08/2014 21:00

YANBU. I just got back from Scotland and I want to watch!

HaveYouTriedARewardChart · 05/08/2014 21:07

YANBU. It's very disappointing.....

WeeBlueWorm · 05/08/2014 22:13

I am in Scotland and even we had to rejig our SKY settings to be able to watch it.

Janethegirl · 05/08/2014 22:15

I'd love to watch it too, and couldn't. However I don't trust the bbc to report it all in an independent manner.
As it's not available on mainstream tv, I wonder how much the ptb intend to 'vet' the info and discussions.

edamsavestheday · 05/08/2014 22:15

Yes, it does seem to be an almighty cock up.

I find it hard to get involved in the debate because I'm not Scottish nor living in Scotland. It does, of course, have huge implications for everyone, but there never seems to be any in-depth discussion of what that might be. Clearly the voters in Scotland are the most closely involved, but someone ought to be telling the rest of us what it means for the remaining UK.

mrscumberbatch · 05/08/2014 22:15

Totally pathetic. Neither winning many people over. No questions answered.

2rebecca · 05/08/2014 22:18

I was busy so have videoed it but was surprised it wasn't live on radio Scotland as well.

Janethegirl · 05/08/2014 22:26

Maybe parliament did not want the whole discussion broadcast nationwide as it may have lost them votes in England and Wales. Me being very cynical of course!

Janethegirl · 05/08/2014 22:27

Sorry, double post but not sure how.

BlueThursday · 05/08/2014 22:32

BBC parliament will be replaying it tomorrow at 7pm

callmewhatever · 05/08/2014 23:04

You didn't miss much. I'm sure a lot of undecided voters will still be pretty undecided. Questions still left unanswered by the end of it and I wouldn't say any side was a clear winner.

JohnCusacksWife · 05/08/2014 23:40

Consensus up here seems to be that Darling won that round. Salmond v disappointing (if you're a Yesser) and blankly refused to answer/acknowledge some points which seems to have for people's backs up.

PhaedraIsMyName · 05/08/2014 23:45

I didn't watch as Salmond just induces a blind rage but seems to be Eck didn't win it. Husband watched it and thought Eck was blustering and snide.

Husband hadn't heard about Eck's "Freedom City" remark before the Commonwealth Games and thought it was so crass I must be making it up.

PhaedraIsMyName · 05/08/2014 23:47

The Guardian did some sort of viewers'poll and Darling was the clear winner.

borisgudanov · 06/08/2014 00:09

A fine example of the shiteheap we'll find ourselves living in if that great twat Salmond gets his way.
