Disappointed with Build-a-bear

We have 7 of them in our house. All kitted out with outfits. DC don't play with them so much, but rather have them as bedtime companions. And they all have gotten so scruffy. Their clothes are falling apart. They are certainly not cheap and their outfits cost as much as real clothes for DC.
Honestly, i expected a better quality for such extortionate prices.
What about if children actively play with them? As lovely as they look, they're... rubbish Hmm

Very expensive. Went this year and was mean Mummy. No to beating heart and voice box. Satin heart was free. One item of clothing [you don't want to cover the lovely fur now do you....].
Birthday thing and bought two. Palpitations at the till.
Bear looks fine at the moment but not that old.
Never again...

But you cant get a pair of Sketchers trainers for a Steiff bear. (Yes, we do have the trainers) Grin

My dad got utterly suckered by dd into buying a palace pet build a bear with the full works, outfit, accessories and extra pair of shoes as it has four feet.

Ridiculously expensive for an ugly orange cat, but dd does love it.
