I've worked lOads over the last few weeks so she's done very little. Today we have free to do something nice in.

she's not interested in anything. No hobbies. Doesn't much like shopping, swimming, beach, noise, driving far.

We're about an hour from Bristol, Bath, Reading, Salisbury. And tomorrow I have to take mother out so please be nice to me.

Help!

Mine's done Segway, swimming, cinema and beach. I know yours doesn't like all these, but I tend to find putting it in the calendar and stating a time to leave home results in more cooperation than asking what they want to do. Can you borrow another teenager? I find 2 easier than 1.

Segway. Interesting. Could be fun.......

Bowling and a film at Cribb's Causeway near Bristol?

They also have "The Wild Place" project with wolves and other animals very close nearby. My teen is wolf crazy and declared a day there with pizza after at Franky and Benny's to be "the best day EVER"

the wild place

My DH took our 13 year old DS to Segwayz in Preston on Friday and he loved it. My son said it was easy and would love to do it again.

AtYourCervix · 04/08/2014 08:36

Do the wolves smell?

If she really doesn't like allthose things, then is it fair to drag her out?
I'm only saying that because I am just back from a holiday with 12 yr old ds1 (asd) and he didn't get much fun out of it (other 2 kids did but I still feel guilty), he is so glad to be home. His ideal day would be out on bikes blackberry picking and an all you can eat buffet restaurant afterwards. He àlso likes bowling, mini golf and aquariums.

She wants to do 'something' but doesn't know what.

Segway is £££ but i suspect she'd like it.

The whole place smells a bit of animals, but the wolves don't smell strongly - they are in a woodland area - there is a talk at 2 if I remember right.

AtYourCervix · 04/08/2014 09:07

No joy. She doesn't fancy anything. Grrrrr.

Crafts? Pottery studio or the like? There're places around you can make your own jewelry.

Surfsup1 · 04/08/2014 09:23

Mani and pedi?

TeaAndALemonTart · 04/08/2014 09:28

Segway have loads of offers on groupon and living social, check those out.

Wander & spa in Bath! Rooftop hot pool overlooking the city? Will be packed but SO worth it!

SaucyJack · 04/08/2014 09:29

Does she like animals? What about a zoo?

AtYourCervix · 04/08/2014 09:56

Doesn't do swimming. Animals smell.

We're going to drive out and see what we find. Nice lunch somewhere.

Crazy golf? Geocaching?

Crazy golf? Geocaching?

Leeds2 · 04/08/2014 17:24

What did she choose in the end?

AtYourCervix · 04/08/2014 17:36

We ended up in cirencester. Mooched around the town. Popped into the museum then had a good lunch. Had a nice day.

She does like the segway idea. Just need to plan ahead for it.

Barbeque and camping in the garden - borrow or get a cheap tent (there are a few about, esp. online).

London on the train (on a relatively cool day?) - take your pick of attractions

Imax cinema somewhere? London is the first place I can think of, but prob other places too.

Or Luna cinema (do a search)
