I don't know if they'd be called "in-jokes" exactly, but I always see posters refer to things like:
Naice ham
Pom bears
Penis beaker
Etc...

Now I've been on mumsnet for almost a year and I caught the penis beaker hoopla Grin But what's the story with the other ones? Including the ones I forget right now, you know the ones. I'd like to know!

I've always seen the biscuit as:

'Have a biscuit so you shut the fuck up and stop spouting garbage.' or is that just my take on it?

WallyBantersJunkBox · 03/08/2014 22:58

Was the thread with the OPs husband in the shed with the dolls head a fake?

It might've been the hedgehog camera one?

HappySeaTurtles · 03/08/2014 23:52

I've tried to read through the threads, but honestly, they're long and boring. I don't really care.

Except the Sharon one. That one was entertaining the whole way.

DarylDixonsDarlin · 03/08/2014 23:59

Oh god, the 'my son has made a giant clay cock' is totally hilarious, absolutely my fave! And t-Rex obviously :)

believeintheshield · 04/08/2014 00:47

Both the biscuit explanations make sense, thank you! I've read the Mexican house stealer thread before; thought it was brilliant! I might have to peruse the classics section for a while Grin

LetsFaceTheMusicAndDance · 04/08/2014 00:57

Did a dog shit on your picnic TheWorld?

loved the plastic vag found in a shed.

sunflower49 · 04/08/2014 00:58

I can't find the sharon/wasp one and I'm so curious now that I won't be able to sleep!

FairPhyllis · 04/08/2014 01:09

Lemon Drizzle Bitch thread was amazing. The ways to cook minge thread was hilarious as well, not sure if that made it into classics.

IScreamForIceCream · 04/08/2014 01:25

'Did a dog shit on your picnic?' sounds like a great insult. Suggests a look of face chewing wasp. I shall try to use it this week.

TakemedowntoPotatoCity · 04/08/2014 01:26

The Super Soaker thread had me in stitches. MN collective unanimously telling OP not to give her DS a super Soaker to take to a friends and she WOULD NOT LISTEN

dobedobedo · 04/08/2014 09:10

Finally read the pom bear thread. Feel like I'm a real member of mn now Grin

OP posts:
WallyBantersJunkBox · 04/08/2014 09:12

Yes it was the plastic vag, with posters suggesting the op pushed a dolls head into the device so that the next time he visited his shed, he'd see it "crowning away".

MagratsHair · 04/08/2014 09:26

holly in the main topics page of Talk go into Mumsnet stuff, then Mumsnet classics :)

WhatTheFork · 04/08/2014 10:53

Read the Pom bear thread. It's made up.

GordieLachance · 04/08/2014 10:59

The first time I read the pombear thread was one of the highlights of my life.

charmkin · 04/08/2014 11:07

Still can't do links PrincessF Wink

MrsRuffdiamond · 04/08/2014 11:08

The Pregnancy and Conception topics are full of references I don't get, but I'd love to know what PESH means?

charmkin · 04/08/2014 11:09

OOo smilies are easier these days though...

CoteDAzur · 04/08/2014 11:12

"Why do people have bum sex in holiday parks?"

Oh OP. You have so much to learn Grin

lljkk · 04/08/2014 11:17

Only last week I found out what the Penis Beaker thing was.

Pleased to be out of the loop :).

CarbeDiem · 04/08/2014 11:40

MrsRuff
Some of the language you see on those threads is specifically related to those boards, you'll not see it elsewhere.
E.g - poas (piss on a stick) ttc (trying to conceive) dtd (doing the deed or shagging) so if it's something you really need to know on there just jump in and ask.

WallyBantersJunkBox · 04/08/2014 15:36

Even though I know STBEXH I still read it as "stupid bastard ex" Blush

Anarchy99 · 04/08/2014 15:45

Talc Not to derail the thread, but your comments are high praise for those posters, considering that fabulous thread about TV titles that you started! Grin

Koothrapanties · 04/08/2014 15:45

Wally is that not what it means??

SoonToBeSix · 04/08/2014 16:18
