I looked and wondered where the English one was because there are 2 welsh ones (dragon and daffodil)

Morethanalittlebitconfused · 03/08/2014 17:38

Ovary you're right! Why do the Scots have to have a silly man? I mean what would the Irish version be? A little Leprechaun I suppose....the English one? The Welsh?

ElephantsNeverForgive · 03/08/2014 17:55

Tech very rapidly hashed together emojos he already had in answer to a call for Commonwealth Games icons, I agree they aren't perfect, but as an English lass brought up in Wales DragonDaffodil is quite pretty

ElephantsNeverForgive · 03/08/2014 17:57

Dragon[stdavid] lazy tech *he hasnt even made the html consistent

*I suppose it's sexist to assume tech is male

ElephantsNeverForgive · 03/08/2014 17:59

Dragon St Davids grrrrrr!

ovaryhill · 03/08/2014 17:59

Your right sorry got them muddled up, but still, !! Why not have him drunk looking just to complete the stereotype! Oh well at least it's not a dancing tunnocks tea cake. .....

I thought the daffodil was a wand; I thought they were something to do with some Harry Potter/dragon film.

Where's the < thick > emoticon? Grin

fluffyraggies · 03/08/2014 19:36

Dragon? Symbol of England? Since when? Hmm

Red/white rose, lion or an oak tree are all symbolic of England.

I agree the silly face for Scotland is a bit lame too.

Morethanalittlebitconfused · 03/08/2014 19:46

That's what I thought fluffy I thereby deduce tech is welsh and anti English Grin

Oh and George of the dragon fame was turkish

MrsWinnibago · 03/08/2014 19:51

Tony The UK basically IS some Harry Potter/Dragon film. Grin Look at us! We're all weird castles, odd traditions and mythical creatures! We have a few evil magicians too.

Picklepest · 03/08/2014 19:54

I preferred the flags tbh

YeGodsAndLittleFishes · 03/08/2014 20:01
