I've been looking for long knickers/shorts to wear under dresses.

anyway I bought some kids sport type cycle shorts for my DDS . my DD 1 is quite large/ fat but has JIA so can't exercise and really tall 4ft 10 aged 8 . I bought size 10/11 and 12/13. the bigger ones are comfy for her and cover her bum so yeah!!

I tried on the 10/11 and they fit. not going out of the house fit as too short but meet my criteria for under dresses. I'm really happy as I thought I'd be spending about £ 10 per shorts in Evans as I'm 510 but 2 for 4.50 I may get have to buy more for me !!!Grin Grin Grin

really!!! I have trouble buying suitable non hooker type clothes for DD as she is so tall trousers aged 13/14 for her are too big in the waist and just about long in the leg.
not a vanity post I'm a 14/16 so I'm surprised it worked!; and happy.
sorry if that is wrong for youSmile

Good for you Hmm

Bettercallsaul1 · 31/07/2014 20:29

Why do you feel the need to wear shorts under dresses? Do you intend to somersault down the road?

abouttobeevicted · 31/07/2014 20:36

Where did you get them from?

Im exactly the same height as your daughter and I need some to wear under dresses as well for the same reason!

SurfBoredCat · 31/07/2014 20:40

The thing I really dislike is you referring to your DD as 'quite large/fat'.
Couple this with your desire to wear children's size clothing and I deduce that you have issues.

Weird to even try them on in my opinion.

I wear age 12/13 or age 14. In most places age 14 is significantly bigger than a size 8.

abouttobeevicted · 31/07/2014 21:06

I'm sorry if I pissed anyone off. but I was trying to be pleased. or matalan have bigger sizes .
my DD is not up for discussion she has severe JIA and other pioratic (so) sorry. arthritis. so leave her alone.

I read your post the same as ObfusKate... getting clothes you need cheaper because they're kids sizes? Result! Grin
