To send this text to my cleaner's boss (Cleaner's english not great)

^Hi - thanks for sending X.
Looks like she did a good job today. Wonder if you could pass on a message. I would really like her to use my cloths for cleaning. Having had a cleaner in the past who used 1 cloth for the entire house (both bathrooms), I am a bit picky on this subject.
My kids drink out of the taps in both bathrooms (I know...) so it really isn't ok to use the same cloth. If she brings her own I feel I can't be sure the cloths are clean.
She can hang them over the laundry basket in the utility room for me to wash. I am happy to wash lots of cloths. I have masses and have shown her where they live. Hope you can let her know that this is important to me. If she has a particular type she likes to use I will buy them, but I want lots used and I want to wash them here. ^

Oh God I sound like a mentalist who's obsessed with cloths, don't I?

Please don't judge me for the cleaner thing.

Obviously I will sign off...

Not unreasonable at all, I'm sure she won't mind what cloths she uses.

FrontForward · 30/07/2014 19:52

Your house. Your money and it's a simple request afai can see?

Mintyy · 30/07/2014 19:53

"Please ask her to use the cloths I leave out - blue for the toilet, white for bath and sink, yellow for kitchen" (or whatever).

That is all you need to say! Grin.

charlieandlola · 30/07/2014 19:53

Sentiment is entirely reasonable but the last bit is a bit OTT - "I want lots of cloths used and I want to wash them all is the barking bit imvho Biscuit

specialmagiclady · 30/07/2014 19:53

That's the thing, I mentioned it when she was here and it was as if I had said something really peculiar...

A bit over-long I think - it sounds like you're trying to be extra reasonable. I shorten it by half.

YANBU though. I too am a cloth maniac. I love to see them flapping on the washing line after a 60 degree wash. Perhaps we both need help.

In the nicest possible way, that message is too long and sounds very slightly unhinged. I would go with Mintty's suggestion.

LuisSuarezTeeth · 30/07/2014 20:54

How do you know she didn't use separate cloths?

Chippednailvarnish · 30/07/2014 20:58

I want lots used and I want to wash them here

If a child used "I want" I'd be having strong words with them about their lack of manners.

This was my instinct! I shall try and make it less unhinged!

LuisSuarezTeeth- I don't. She may be using a thousand cloths (which would be a Good Thing IMHO) but as she is bringing them in and taking them away, short of stalking her round the house, I have no way of knowing. I'd like to keep an eye on the situation because of previous experiences.

I want to explain to the boss lady that I am not "being nice" by saying I would like my cloths used. When I asked her to use my cloths she said "no no is okay I use mine". I said "no really, please will you use mine". I came home to find no dirty cloths anywhere, so she obviously used hers. This makes me worry that she is carrying her cloths from house to house in a plastic bag. Which is revolting.

It is the first time she had cleaned my house - though I know and trust her boss, I think Lady One Cloth may have come from the same stable.

(By the way, don't you love it when we deal with Important Issues on AIBU?)
