"If every aibu was in the "correct" place then there wouldn't be anything in aibu."

Not sure which side you are arguing now tbh

If op is happy for there to be no aibu then there is a simple solution, she should just hide aibu! anyone who wants to talk about facebook/dogs/the weather/news stories/school applications in aibu could get along with it without the aibu police coming and saying move along please!

it will jsut get worse as Christmas gets near with every thread that has Christmas in the title attracting very offended posters who open the Christmas aibu, read it, become offended that it is about Christmas and then don't post anything productive just reply saying "you are wrong to post in aibu you should post in the christmas section" even if "aibu to not want my abusive ex to come over for christmas lunch" might not go down so well in the Christmas section where everyone seems to chat about elf on the shelf ideas and bargains in argos.

YABU. You are not queen of Mumsnet. Just scroll down past the threads you're not interested in.

PittTheYounger · 31/07/2014 15:58

god wouldnt it be nice if there wasnt anything in AIBU?

PittTheYounger · 31/07/2014 15:59

snort at queen of mumsnet,
i WAS a topic once. wistful

Cereal0ffender · 31/07/2014 16:00

And we never did get a school run dress topic :(

PittTheYounger · 31/07/2014 16:00

bastards.

Cereal0ffender · 31/07/2014 16:05

My main gripe with facebook ATM is one of the local mums who says cum instead of come which I find repellant

choochootrain1 · 31/07/2014 16:06

YABU... I for one didn't know there was one, and for 2...whilst I am feeling unwell and unable to go out, and the boy is napping am enjoying the fast moving traffic of AIBU compared to others.

Why not just hide it/avoid it if you have a problem as many have suggested?

Pagwatch · 31/07/2014 16:24

But equally posters could just ignore this thread couldn't they? You know, if we are all just advocating ' ignoring it' as the solution to all ills

I would love a school run topic.
And a 'don't be a dick' topic that mnhq moved annoying threads into. Like a tossed sin bin.

PittTheYounger · 31/07/2014 18:30

repellent, isnt' it? looks sideways

PittTheYounger · 31/07/2014 18:31

LOVE 'don't be a dick" topic idea.

GREAT - is kind of a purgatory before possible deletion

Cereal0ffender · 01/08/2014 10:11

I so want 'don't be a dick' topic. And maybe a 'bless' topic for new mothers worrying about whether they should be sterilising their babies thumbs

Pagwatch · 01/08/2014 10:37

I have great ideas all the time and mnhq never use them . [sulks]

My best idea is mnhq outing on thread anyone who has name changed to be a dick '

Vintagejazz · 01/08/2014 10:42

In fairness, there are loads of threads on here that don't, strictly speaking, belong in AIBU. As long as the thread title is clear I don't really have a problem with it.
