To think people are LOUD for no reason...just because they like the sound of their own voice?

Went to a place yesterday which is where monkeys roam free in a forest. You can walk amongst them as long as you don't approach.

Before you go in, you're told not to scream, yell or startle them in any way.

Everyone wandering quietly when one monkey swings over our heads on a tree branch and some woman HAS to go "WAAAAAAA!" even though it was metres away.

WHY!

All the monkeys were terrified and ran off. Poor things.

They came back again after a bit but really?

Come on...tell me "she was just having fun" or "she couldn't help herself"

That kind of thing REALLY pisses me off. It just spoils the atmosphere and event for everyone else.

Some people like to cause a scene and make sure all eyes are on them. Sounds like she was one of them.

DH's exW does this over-loud thing for my benefit, she'll be at my front door talking to him knowing I'm indoors somewhere and just HAS to make herself heard, laughing loudly at him like she's in the audience at some comedy club, announcing loudly that she must go she's got something to get to.

I'm embarrassed for her, but then I'm a quiet sort myself.

Emmanuel Monkey Forest in Trentham Stoke on Trent. Not a long day out but very nice.....take about an hour round the forest area where the monkeys are and then there's a good picnic area with play equipment, little souvenir shop too. Cheap as well! 7.50 for adults and a fiver for DC.

Next door is Trentham Gardens...beautiful place! Big lake, masses of woods, manicured gardens, cafe, shops....bit more expensive to enter but you can get a combined ticket.

went out for a meal with my dad, dh and dc the other week... lovely until some arse and his friends got the table next to us. Proceeded to talk at fifty trillion decibels , arf arf arfing, hooting, loud phone calls. All this a 5.30 on a Thursday afternoon..twats

I was at a small zoo near us 2 women tapping on glass at marmosets shrieking oooo its got a baby its so cute ooooo its twins PAM Look twins PAAAM despite there being a sign saying do not tap on windows it disturbs our monkey's sigh

Yes, I was at London zoo there was a woman who went in the meerkat tunnel. Shortly followed by 'fucking hell get me out of here' shouted through it, and 'get out my way, I said get out my fucking way I need to get out' to the kids.
When she came out loudly to her child 'aren't you lucky your mum went in there, no one else did'

Yes actually, three mums and two dads did but none of us screamed shouted and swore our way round scaring the kids and animals

I don't get it either. She sounded somewhat attention seeking to me.

We went our for a curry on Friday evening. A group of 6 women came in talking rather loudly. One of them had a particularly loud and piercing voice. I had my back to the most of the restaurant, but OH saw that all the other diners were tutting and giving them disapproving looks. Fiotunately we had nearly finished our meal and didn't have to put up with it for long. The couple at the table next to us (and nearer the loud table) looked really uncomfortable.

My gripe is people who sing. Without music. On a bus or train, basically anywhere I can't get away from them. It's just so attention seeking and bloody annoying!

I went to Ws to read a book and drink some coffee. I need to find the right book for DSis, so I was looking forward to an hour or so of perusing and sipping. I got in early, having remembered school holidays. All started well...

... Then they arrived. Young couple, both perfectly coiffed and groomed so not the usual customers.

They sat down about 15 feet away from me and started to chat. OMG. TOWIE had hit town. Loud doesn't cover it. Long drawn out vowels, lots of 'd'ya know what Oi Meeeeeeeeean?' and some fairly personal details being brayed out.

As you might expect in Cheltenham there were tuts, and meaningful looks and some pointed harrumphing. She was loud, lots of unnecessary decibelage and she barely paused for breath. And it went on and on and on.

At one point she said, 'well would you put up with it, would you?' and a very 'Nam lady said, as she passed ' Not normally sweetheart, but in a coffee shop we have been forced to'.

There was a glorious silence as everyone stopped and grinned.

TOWIE girl fairly bellowed 'how fucking rude was that?', standing up in her outrage. At which point the manager approached their table, handed them some money (presumably a refund) escorted them out.

OMG. TOWIE had hit town.

DH was once on a train with a man who was very loudly trying to get through to some ambassador while looking round to make sure everyone was listening. "Don't you know who I am? It's Charlie Double-Barrel, of Worthington House. He will want to speak with me I assure you. My number is 8967767889. Please have the ambassador call me AT ONCE."

He repeated his name and number endlessly until everyone on the carriage was tutting. We may or may not have called him that evening after a few drinks ... DH still remembers the digits!
