To ask you to help me name my new horse?!

Exactly that really! She's a pony actually, 13.2hh, New Forest, bay mare. She's arrived with a name I really don't like and because she's comparatively young I'm going to change it.

I need a sweet, soft, gentle name. She's ever so laid back. I can sort of feel the right name hovering in my mind but can't quite grab it!

Any ideas ladies?!

Loads of horses have two names - their pedigree one and their 'stable' name.

How about linking her name to her breed.

And, to those who have said "it's bad luck to change a horse's name", (which I never heard said before, by the way), who exactly will be responsible for 'sending' that bad luck? Would that be God? Father Christmas? The Prime Minister? Do plse try to be adult and not so superstitious re repeating such a silly thing!
