To please stop filing her nails as it's a) noisy b) shedding her body dust all over my nice black suede shoes and c) just disgusting.

And if it is reasonable, what should I actually say? Have been sitting here sending her seething vibes for 20 mins now but apparently the telepathy isn't working.

Just go "urgh! What's that all over my shoes??" Then make a show of checking to see what it could be. Maybe she'll get the hint?

Take off your shoes, and blow the dust back at her?

Ok I have dusted off my shoes (incidentally YUCK) and she has given me a big sigh and evils and then dusted off her shoes with a pointed look! As if I have offensively flicked dust on her! Her own body dust!

But at least she's stopped the sawing now.

Ask if she has a tissue you can clean your shoe with.

Wait till she puts the polish on and accidentally spet on her toes.

Ugh, even the thought of nail files makes me feel sick! I'd have moved seats straight away (unless there were no other seats, then I'd drown out the sound with (really bad, loud) music and avoid so much as glancing in her direction if I could!
