To not give her a bath?

5yo DD had a friend for a sleepover, I decided not to give them a bath last night, WIBU? Feeling guilty now.

She's going home at lunch time, if that makes any difference.

Not as long as they washed their hands and face and brushed their teeth.

of course its ok not to have a bath. Mine dont have a bath/shower every day

I'd find it a bit odd if you bathed my child on a one night sleepover, unless they got incredibly dirty.

My life became a lot easier once I realised a bath every night isn't remotely necessary. Now my girls get bathed about twice a week.

Hilarious! My boys get a wash everyday but a bath about twice a week.

Eh? I would find it odd if someone bathed my 5 year old on a sleep over!

As long as they brushed their teeth and weren't caked from head to toe in cow shit there's no new to feel guilty :)

I don't think I would feel particularly comfortable bathing someone else's child to be fair

I feel very uncomfortable with a friend of ours when we have get the DC together late in the day and she always wants to give all of the boys a bath at the same time. Her DS is the only boy, and he loves being with my DSs, but at 4, 5 and 7 (hers is the youngest) I have drawn the line at shared bathtimes for the 3 of them!!!!

Likewise, I wouldn't bath mine everynight and I've never bathed visiting DCs.

You might shower legs of suncreamy, sandy and muddy DCs who'd had a water fight in this weather or scrub off paint, but that's it.

It's really hot and sticky here at the moment so I probably would offer a visiting child a bath if they were staying overnight, but having said that I am a bath obsessive and I shower every morning and bath every night. The DDs have a bath every night as part of a bedtime routine, I've done it since forever and can't imagine not doing it. If they were visiting someone else I wouldn't care if they were bathed or not though.

I'd find it odd if you bathed my child unless you were family. Certainly not on a sleepover. Do kids start having sleepovers at 5?

It depends on how dirty they are. I have given baths on sleepovers when the kids are covered from playing in the woods. If they have been playing inside then there is no need. If my kid came back filthy then I would be a bit surprised.
