Is the title of your thread just a reference to the article, or a statement of your views on the matter OP?
IMO, labelling spending time with your child as a 'date' undermines the stated desire for a father's role to be as 'important' as the mother's IMO. The things in the video are fairly standard (eating a meal with your child and playing with them at the park), and there is no need to attach any 'adult' connotations to the things that millions of parents do every day.
