I know Sad

WhosLookingAfterCourtney · 15/07/2014 19:17

She's also women and equality minister Hmm

cardibach · 15/07/2014 19:18

Having worked in a school is no guarantee of quality (remember Estelle Morris? Although I don't think she was as bad as she is made out). I also think that anyone promoted by Cameron is going to be ideologically opposed to everything I hold dear. I wasn't holding my breath.

StillStayingClassySanDiego · 15/07/2014 19:19

My politically savvy 17 year old tells me she's nearly as much as a risk as Gove.

I've not heard of her before.

LEMmingaround · 15/07/2014 19:19

No that is true cardi :(

Don't get me started! I've just spent the last half an hour ranting about it and I can feel my blood pressure rocketing! Glad Gove has knobbed off but this new woman hasn't even worked as a teacher for fucks sake!!!!!!!!! Aaagh, I'm angry!

millionsofpeaches · 15/07/2014 19:23

She's another one of Cameron's oxbridge cronies. Nothing will change.

AuntieStella · 15/07/2014 19:31

Of course nothing will change.

Despite the many threads demonising Gove as an individual, he was never pushing through personal ideas. He was ensuring government policy turned into action. There is no sign whatsoever in change of Coalition education policy. The anti-Gove personal witch-hunt (or should that be warlock-hunt?) has achieved nothing.

Except perhaps an own goal? He's gone, but the policies haven't. And demonising another person as an individual will just look silly now.

ilovesooty · 15/07/2014 19:58

Seen her voting record and not impressed.

This will actually result in Gove being thrust in our faces on TV more often. Still glad he's gone though.

I met Estelle Morris. I liked her. Whatever her quality I thought she was a decent person.

Fram · 15/07/2014 20:39

Voted against same sex marriage? voted to restrict abortions? Shock

But is appointed minister for equalities and women? Shock Shock

Well I suppose we should expect no better, really. Hmm

2015 is not too far away Mr Cameron. Worcester woman is still on MN...

ilovesooty · 15/07/2014 20:43

Loathsome as Gove is at least he's passionately in favour of gay marriage.

MiscellaneousAssortment · 15/07/2014 20:46

Did Gove go to another position? Or shove off altogether?

PogoBob · 15/07/2014 20:50

Gove is now Chief Whip so pretty much a demotion

ilovesooty · 15/07/2014 21:01

As Chief Whip he will be driving the Conservative campaign. Expect to see much more of him on our TV screens.
