To book a spa day in support of Cedar Falls

Downtheroadfirstonleft · 14/07/2014 14:38

I'm booking a spa day with some other mums. Cedar Falls is a bit further than we meant to travel, but it's perfectly doable.

We want to support a business that has been the victim of a witch hunt by the unreasonable, and unbearably smug....

At least you know it will be 100% child free!

MrsTerryPratchett · 14/07/2014 14:40

A spa-in, if you will Grin

WeirdCatLady · 14/07/2014 14:41

I'm also looking into booking a lovely child free break there :)

mulberrylover · 14/07/2014 14:51

Well it looks like this has worked in Cedar Falls favour after all...

EarthWindFire · 14/07/2014 14:53

Do it. Just been looking at it myself. Looks lovely.

jacks365 · 14/07/2014 14:56

Does look wonderful, debating taking my eldest for a weekend get away.

I would book there, i like the pict of no children at all.

LinesThatICouldntChange · 14/07/2014 14:59

Yeap, the promise of no kids and hopefully not a glimpse of fairy dust is very tempting...

IHopeYouStepOnALegoPiece · 14/07/2014 15:02

2 friends have each decided to book 2 separate hen dos with them purely based on these threads :o

I'm desperate to go, it looks beautiful !

WeirdCatLady · 14/07/2014 15:04

I'd love to take dd, but she's only 12 and I, UNLIKE SOME, am capable of reading the "No Under 16's" rule without needing to stage a sit in! (Or a Tit-In!)

windchime · 14/07/2014 15:59

YANBU. I was just looking at their website. Never heard of the place before all this hoohar. It looks right up my street. I will be making a booking.

Nomama · 14/07/2014 16:00

I am sure I could be persuaded... Smile

Essexgirlupnorth · 14/07/2014 16:02

I do think it is very off that people are posting 1 star reviews on Facebook because of this alleged incident when they have never been.

londonrach · 14/07/2014 16:03

Don't tempt me.... It's a beautiful location in a lovely part of the world.

Groovee · 14/07/2014 16:03

I'd love to go but it's too far for me to drive my mum and I! Maybe I can talk dh into a child free weekend.

AlpacaPicnic · 14/07/2014 16:04

I'd love a spa day. I'd love one that had no children included...
How do spa workers feel about fat people?

Beavie · 14/07/2014 16:10

I've been there and can thoroughly recommend it. I'd definitely be booking again if I wasn't so skint right now.

SauvignonBlanche · 14/07/2014 16:14

How can you review the place if you've never been?

ChairmanWow · 14/07/2014 16:27

Because some people lose all sense of perspective when breastfeeding is discussed. Apparently you should be able to do whatever you want whenever you want regardless of an establishment's rules.

I wish I lived nearer and I would support them - it would be the easiest form of protest ever!

Anarchy99 · 14/07/2014 16:29

I am tempted to go there later this year.

At least they have kept a dignified silence in the face of the lunacy!

Bowlersarm · 14/07/2014 16:30

Good for you OP.

If I was looking for a spa day/break, I'd make a point of booking there too.

SiennaBlake · 14/07/2014 16:33

Oooh I want to as well! They won't mind if the toddler nips in for a few mins will they?

Stinkle · 14/07/2014 16:35

I would, if I didn't really hate spas. And it wasn't miles and miles away

Although the cast iron guarantee of no kids is tempting Grin

AlpacaLypse · 14/07/2014 16:46

Oooo... didn't really pick up on the bunfight when it was happening, but it's not unreasonably far away from me and is DEFINITELY gorgeous looking!
