It's my birthday.

Dd2 (has AS) always wants to do breakfast in bed for birthdays (we do it for dh too).

Today is no exception. Dh is organising, which means chaos.

I told him last night he had to get a move on this morning as dd2 and I need to leave the house by 9.30.

I am still waiting in bed - strict instructions not to move - and this is just not fun. I am hungry, would like a shower before I have to face the world, and don't particularly want to bolt my breakfast, rip open presents like a 2 year old and rush out of the house late.

I can't just get up as the dc (2 with additional needs, 1 very small) will be gutted they couldn't do their usual 'surprise'.

But its hardly a great start to the day....

Oh, that is bloody annoying!

Because its "for the children", but it's spoiling your day.

Speak to him about it after - probably not much you can do about it now.

But YANBU!
