AIBU to get annoyed with inconsiderate dog lovers

I don't like dogs, I'm not scared of them, I just don't like them jumping up at me as it ruins clothes, I don't like the smell of them on my hands and I don't like their slobber anywhere near me. Why do dog lovers seem to ignore me when I say I'm not a dog fan. They just let their dog sniff my crotch, lick me etc. and think it's sweet because they like me. I also frequently get dogs in my garden whose owners can't manage to keep them in their own gardens.
I get that some people love their dogs so much they're like another child but is it hard for a dog lover to imagine someone not liking them. I have friends asking if they can bring their dog to my house, I don't want it here. But I'm worried I'll offend them. I just don't get why it's so hard to understand how much i don't want them around me. AIBU?

i had my feet washed by a dog yesterday he refused to leave my feet to the point the owner had to physically remove him from my feet and carry him away

I feel the same - my son isn't scared of dogs, but I have taught him that he can only stroke them if he is with me and has the owner's permission. It is hard to instil good dog sense in a toddler when some people let their dogs bound up to us and jump up on him, and as I am allergic I would rather they left me alone as well.
I do tell people they can't bring their dogs to my house, and generally they understand as they appreciate that even a short visit means I have to thoroughly clean every sofa cushion, wipe down all the surfaces and take strong antihistamines, so in some ways having an allergy is a blessing as I don't really want my house covered in dog hair anyway!
