Little Princess on Board
Twins on Board
Grandkids on Board
Yummy Mummy on Board

Who cares? Just drive the bloody car carefully. It's no one's business who's 'on board'.

It's amazing how drivers assume other drivers are so interested in their lives.

Maybe we should have 'Just nipping to the shops', 'On the School Run' and 'Driving to the In-Laws for Lunch' stickers so that these egomaniacs can tell us even more about their deeply mundane fascinating lives and families.

SisterMoonshine · 01/07/2014 13:10

Some poor lad at DC's school has to be driven around in a car that says "naughty person on board" :(

ItHasANiceRingWhenYouLaugh · 01/07/2014 13:30

Man, I have ALWAYS hated these. Nice to know I'm not alone.

SconeRhymesWithGone · 01/07/2014 14:02

It's amazing how drivers assume other drivers are so interested in their lives.

Or their political views. I don't remember seeing political bumper stickers in the UK, but in the US some people think everyone is interested in reading about their views on Obamacare, gun control, abortion, and immigration while trying to go about their daily business in the car.

Charlieboo30 · 01/07/2014 14:03

I was going to get one of these signs for my little car. I think I'd either get 'you're so close you might as well get in' or 'I'm pedalling as fast as I can.' Love my 1l car but people think by practically chasing me along roads I can make it go faster.

This thread has made me think twice though...

Writerwannabe83 · 01/07/2014 14:24

I take note of the 'baby on board' signs and always keep further back.

Daisymasie · 01/07/2014 14:26

Why Writer? Do you not keep a safe and considerate distance from every car?

LucindaAsquith · 01/07/2014 14:32

I saw one today and it said " broco on board " it had a picture of a little dog.

Now that is daft.

Ilovexmastime · 01/07/2014 14:44

Bloody hell Sidge!

ZenGardener · 01/07/2014 15:00

You see, a lot of these have really made me smile especially the baby, I'm bored one.

I don't think there is any point to them. They are just decoration or a bit of fun.

No, i don't have one.

MoominKoalaAndMiniMoom · 01/07/2014 15:35

After seeing the amount of outrage against these kinds of signs, I decorated mine with pink "I

Daisymasie · 01/07/2014 15:38

Yes, I've been amazed at all the 'outrage' on this thread. I've never seen such frothing, uncontrolled anger in my life. It's ... well it's just... outrageous!

wink1970 · 01/07/2014 15:46

"If you want to get up my arse, at least buy me dinner first"

pianodoodle · 01/07/2014 16:00

I have one of the yellow and black Baby On Board Signs.

Seemed like the thing to do.

Reading through this thread, I'm not actually sure what prompted me to get it at the time - excited about first baby probably :)

If I park in a p&c space without the kids with me it makes the car look a bit more socially acceptable - as long as no one looks too closely...Grin

Daisymasie · 01/07/2014 16:03

Actually maybe I'll get one so I can park in P&T spaces. I knew those stickers must have some use Smile

MyFairyKing · 01/07/2014 16:05

Writer You should be keeping your distance anyway. I don't want to be rammed up the arse if I stop suddenly just because I don't have a sticker.

When people tailgate at me, I yell "two chevons away, you cunt" but the windows shut because I'm a scaredy pants. Grin

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 01/07/2014 16:55

I do quite like this one:

Si hoc adfixum in obice legere potes, et liberaliter educatus et nimis popinquus ades.

(If you can read this bumper sticker, you are both very well educated and much too close.)

The only things I have though are my tax disc holder and a National Trust badge. I don't really want people knowing that much about me!

PhaedraIsMyName · 01/07/2014 20:21

I'm pedalling as fast as I can

I like that one. And the Latin one.

Vintagejazz · 01/07/2014 20:37

In awe at moomin bravely standing up to all these outraged posters Grin.

Well, I just was my first car with eyelashes this afternoon. It was a Mini Cooper.

SilentCharisma · 03/07/2014 11:24

I saw a great one the other day, saying 'I have a stupid yellow sign in my window'
