I take my 13yr old DD shopping?
I am trying really hard to lose weight, using calorie and exercise tracking and being very strict. I have lost 20lbs so far :)
I am trying to at least walk every day. I wont have a chance today, but need to take DD shopping for a school trip. It is likely to be a lengthy trip around a large shopping centre.
So AIBU to use my tracker while shopping or is that cheating and not really exercise??

YANBU at all. It all counts.
Well done on the weight loss

I did this by accident once. I walked to the shopping centre about 3km away so turned the tracker on before I went, but forgot to stop it when I arrived. I only went in for a few things and actually walked another 3km around the centre! It was really very funny as it showed me going backwards and forwards and when I obviously sped up to get to certain shops!

So I would definitely do it. You will be surprised at how far you walk!

I leave mine on all the time, it's all exercise, isn't it.

YANBU
I use run keeper to track my walks and keep it on when I'm walking round the shops. I don't break any time records but it transfers the calories to MFP so totally worth recording!
