To think this new bill shows that Scotland and England have a quite different mindset and priorities. Makes me wonder is Scotland goes independent - it could look at really tackling it's issues and make some real changes that benefit the scottish people.

Most of the Council housing stock where I live in Liverpool have been bought by HA's.

All of the better Council Housing had been bought well before this.

Now more and more three bed properties are vacant because of the Bedroom Tax, they are being sold under the "My Place" scheme.

Unless there is a pledge that the remaining Council Stock will not go to other providers, all these promises are meaningless.

In Liverpool we have had high rise and blocks of flats sold to private investors, most people have been priced out of renting them and the pledge to always consider disabled people on HB as tenants, didn't happen.

My point is, what often looks good on paper, never works out the way it should.

I have never agreed with nationwide housing polices, they need flexibility to suit not only regions, but areas, I would imagine that would apply to Scotland, as well.
